Former Cannonball Run record holder and VINwiki founder Ed Bolian took to Instagram today to announce that he's selling his entire car collection, easily worth well into the seven-figure range, all to fund "something really crazy." The collection includes highlights like a world-famous Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (some might call it infamous for being driven by Paris Hilton with fellow celebs Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears on a night out in LA), four different Lamborghinis, two Ferraris, a Porsche Cayenne off-roading build, and more. Of course, as soon as Bolian revealed the decision, his massive fanbase chimed in to start guessing on what the potential purchase might actually be, given that so many amazing cars would be required to match it.
An Entire World-Famous Car Collection
The fire sale is happening live on IG right now, as Bolian posted a list of all the cars with asking information and asking prices, which he is apparently deleting as each item becomes unavailable. His 2007 Ferrari 599 HGTE already sold, as did a 2002 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG. and a 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera with the coveted X51 power package and factory Aero Kit. A one-of-12 1985 Audi 4000S Quattro Brock Yates Edition is already pending, while his wife apparently wants to keep the 2014 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG.
He's asking $190,000 for a 2009 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, $110,000 for a flood-damaged 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, $475,000 for a 20007 Murcielago LP640, and $200,000 for his 2013 Cannonball Run record-setting Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG. On the more affordable side, Bolian wants $12,000 for a 2002 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG that he won another NY to LA race with, $29,000 for the Cayenne, and $65,000 for a TVR Cerbera that he calls one of less than 20 imported to the United States.
Britney, Lindsay, And Paris In An SLR McLaren
The famous Britney, Paris, and Lilo SLR McLaren, meanwhile, has a sale pending that Bolian claims is "over Asking Price" to nobody's great surprise. Already an amazing car thanks to the striking design and supercharged V8, Bolian acquired it after it had been impounded due to a Paris Hilton DUI—a famous Britney Spears flashing incident had already immortalized the car in Hollywood pop history.
Guesses Focusing On The El Chapo McLaren F1
The guessing game began immediately with questions surrounding fighter jets and a Pagani Zonda, though most fans appear 100% convinced that the real purchase Bolian needs to pony up for is the Mexican cartel leader El Chapo's famous missing McLaren F1, which Bolian has clearly admitted he's been searching for. Hopefully, he can pull the funds together and reveal the new purchase soon—he claims to be asking fair prices and, after all, he would know.
