Italian manufacturer Lamborghini is one of the most popular supercars in the world. It is also one of the most replicated top-tier cars globally. All you need to do is to scroll through Craigslist, and you’ll find a couple of fake Lamborghinis for sale. YouTube channel Speedster404 just uploaded a video showing a Lamborghini Countach replica spotted in the wild.

Speedster404 is quite popular when it comes to spotting exotic cars. On this day, he was cruising down the road, and spotted a red Lamborghini Countach, with its iconic doors up. A couple of people on the streets were taking pictures too.

The Countach's Design Remains Iconic

The Lamborghini Countach is quite a spectacle. It was in production between 1974 and 1990. Recent Lamborghinis owe their iconic wedge, sharp-angled design from the Countach.

Fortunately, the Lamborghini Countach is no longer a classic. The Italian manufacturer released the second edition of the legend in 2021: the Limited-Edition Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4.

The first-generation Lamborghini Countach comes with a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive Lamborghini 3.9-liter V12 engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. This combo makes 370 hp. It might be a 1980s car, but the Countach can hold its own. It can do 0-60 in 5.4 seconds, and a quarter-mile in about 13 seconds.

What Speedster404 spotted wasn’t the real deal. It’s not clear what’s under the hood, but it sounds something close to what a Lamborghini should—dramatic. It’s definitely a clean replica and looks like the real thing if you are standing yards away.

The wheels are on-point, but the body is a little bit too high for a real Lamborghini Countach. It also comes with a single exhaust, which is a dead giveaway. The rear wing is also a bit too ambitious for a Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini Countach Replica Has Seen Better Days

This Lamborghini has a couple of noticeable issues. For starters, the interior is old and washed up. It has a detachable steering wheel, the gear knob is missing, and there are a few missing bits from the dash. It’s also missing the front Lamborghini decal. There is paint chipping off on the front bumper, side mirrors, and front trunk.

It’s still easy to see the amount of effort and detail taken to make it look like a Lamborghini, even the door seals have manufacturer branding.

All in all, this is a nicer replica, even though it’s clearly seen better days. It would be interesting to see, a replica of the 2021 limited edition.
