In early 2021, Ken Block unexpectedly announced the end of a 10-year partnership with Ford and began selling his iconic cars used on Gymkhana and RallyCross. Now, perhaps one of the best of them has been put up for sale - his Ford F-150 pickup truck. The pickup truck showed itself in all its glory in Gymkhana TEN.

Auctioned Ford F-150 Specifications

After the professional work, the 40-year-old Ford F-150 pickup truck was turned into a powerful Hoonitruck drift car with a 3.5 V6 EcoBoost engine. It was taken from the racing Ford GT Le Man. It got boosted to the insane 927 hp (952 Nm).

All that power is sent to all four wheels through a Sadev six-speed gearbox. Detroit Speed was responsible for it. They also modified the chassis, body, and transmission, and the design and style of the project were done by Block with a whole team of gearheads from the Hoonigan headquarters. And the gearbox is almost identical to its Hooning counterpart, the almighty Hoonicorn of which it can be seen towing in Gymkhana TEN.

But the Hoonitruck is not just an old bucket with a powerful motor. The drift car is built with a specially designed aluminum tube-frame chassis. Besides this, the body panels were made by hand. The exhaust manifold had to be 3D printed.

The interior of the car catches the eye just as the exterior does. According to the seller, "it looks like a spaceship with its full carbon fiber dash and matching Recaro Profi SPA carbon fiber race seats." In addition, the car can boast such luxury features as the FordPass remote start and a functional backup camera/tow hitch setup.

The drift pickup is now in Michigan (USA) at a dealer specializing in exotic cars. For a rare Ford, they ask $1.1 million. In addition to it, they offer a whole range of spare parts, including body panels, wheels, headlights, suspension elements, and other spare motor.

Obviously, the main value of this car is in its history. The car is proof that the talented engineers can make a beast out of absolutely any car, even a simple farm truck.
