The car rendering world is a truly fascinating place. So many weird and wonderful creations fill this world, all of which are incredibly impressive given the amount of work that no doubt goes into each one of them. One of the very best to create a rendering is @wb.artist20 on Instagram, also known as Oscar Vargas. Vargas has created some truly fascinating renders and this one we are featuring is no exception. He has taken the Tesla Roadster and not swapped, but rather integrated it, with an LS engine and turned it into a hot rod.

LS Engine On Show For All To See

Vargas states in his Instagram post of Tesla that he is “aware of how ridiculous, probably impossible and possibly not proportionately accurate” the rendering is, but it is still an exceptional piece of work. The giant LS engine is easily visible popping out of the hood of the Tesla, which of course would normally house various bits of electric goodies for the car's electric drivetrain. He is keen to stress that, as there is no engine in the Tesla, this is an LS integration and not a swap.

Hot Rod Paintwork Looks The Business

It is arguable that the LS engine poking out of the hood of this car isn’t the most ideal aesthetic feature. However, it's difficult to fault the stunning paintwork that the Roadster is in. In true hot rod style, there are some stunning red wheels with whitewall tires that ooze 1930s hot rods. The paint scheme applied to the body is pretty sensational too. It’s a two-tone livery, with red dominating most of the bodywork with a subtle dark gray complementing it beautifully in the lower portion of the body.

Comparison With Original Roadster Is Fascinating

The last shot in the rendering post shows the original Roadster at the top with the modified version by Vargas below, and the changes are huge. The biggest has to be the integration of that LS engine and the whitewall tires and red wheels, with the change in paintwork actually being much more subtle compared to those other two changes. Then there is the addition of the chrome hubcaps to really complete the hot rod look. This is perhaps a totally unrealistic proposition, but Vargas has executed his Tesla hot rod vision to perfection.
