Adding Aston Martin Cars To Its Electrified Classics

Lunaz has been offering restored and electrified versions of classic cars from Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Range Rover, and Jaguar in the past few years. Now, the company has added Aston Martin to its electrified restoration list. The first model to embrace such a kind of restoration is the DB6, which is better known as the car of choice for British music legend Mick Jagger. Set to follow the DB6 in Lunaz’s production plan are the Aston Martin DB4 and DB5 cars.

Lunaz’s proprietary modular electric powertrain is the core of each electrified DB6, as comprised of European-sourced Tier 1 OEM battery cells and electric motors. According to the company, its electric classics source their power from batterres with capacities of between 80 kWh and 120 kWh. Boasting a range of 255 miles, each electrified vehicle is capable of fast-charging (CCS technology). Each electrified DB6 features uprated brakes, suspension and steering.

Exhaustive Bare-Metal Restoration And Reengineering

The company will treat each electrified DB6 to an exhaustive bare-metal restoration and re-engineering process, allowing Lunaz to restore the DB6 to concourse level as remastered to the personal whims of the customer (full-scope personalization). A team of engineers, restoration specialists, and craftspeople executes the entire process.

Lunaz’s restoration process is quite a hard work. It entails several steps, including stripping down the car to bare metal shell and addressing any body defect. Customers will have their say with interior and exterior surface details. They will be able to see their ‘completed’ DB6 even before Lunaz finish the full conversion through 2D sketches and advanced 3D models.
