Alex Soto of SheepeyRace has a reputation. He only needs a bunch of turbos and a supercar to make a track monster. That’s precisely what he did on his latest vlog to a Lamborghini Huracan, in what could very much be the first-ever 1,400-hp Performante Spyder.

“So, this car right here is very different. I have had it for a very long time. Why I have had it for a long time because it came in for a bolt-on and left-wing. Every time we come up with something, dude like, yo Alex, add that,” Alex said.

SheepeyRace Is Tuning The Performante Spyder

The Lamborghini Performante has been changed probably six different times. Alex and his team are finally able to run it. According to Alex, this Lamborghini Performante will be ‘The King of the Streets in New York City.’

The Lamborghini Performante belongs to Alex’s Family friend, Vito. SheepeyRace has been doing a lot of development and testing on the car for some time. Vito is very heavily involved in street activity in Mexico, and SheepeyRace wanted to give him a car that would run a very fast time in Mexico.

“We did some different things on the exhaust side. It’s 5.2 liters with backpressure high with mid-frame turbos. We made 900 on the gate, and the gates about seven pounds of boost,” Alex said. “So, that kind of gives you an idea how much power we have but, it’ll end at about 20 pounds of boost off the dyno. On the dyno, it runs like 15 pounds. No need to hit it higher,” he added.

The Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder has a unique exhaust setup. SheepeyRace added wastegate tubes in the center. This meant they had to modify the grille.

Milo sets up the car for the dyno, tuning the fuel table. After the first try, it hits 966 hp on the dyno. After that, they make some adjustments to the boost cable and go for another shot. It produces 994 hp on nine pounds of boosts.

Makes 1,400 HP On The Mainline Dyno

“So, we are having to adjust the boost control PID systems. We are aiming for 10 pounds of boost and only saw about eight and a half, not nine. So, getting that set up worked perfectly fine, and then once that’s dialed in, then we’re gonna be able to turn the boost up. Most importantly, you want to set up the PID. Close loop the boost control system first, and then you hit it,” Alex revealed.

According to Alex, Vito’s Lamborghini Performante has a different exhaust manifold. The exhaust system in this car controls the wastegate duty cycle, throwing off SheepeyRace’s first attempt on the dyno.

They go for another try, and it hits 1052 hp. They go for another run on the dyno at 15 pounds of boost, which blows off the tires. They get it off the dyno and set it up on the mainline. After a couple of tries on the mainline, they finally hit 1,385hp.
