As more electric vehicles continue to make their way into the industry, it's certain that EVs are the destiny of the automotive industry. Looking back, none of us would’ve imagined that EVs would be a big deal. Let alone that Tesla would later become a leading producer in this segment. Over the years, the industry has superbly warmed up to electric vehicles. And, a lot of established companies have already started producing EV versions of their popular vehicles. As a response to the growing demand, Audi made the ever-so-famous E-Tron and Lotus debut its all-electric hyper SUV Dubbed Eletre. Around the corner, GMC is soon to release the top-of-the-line Sierra Denali EV. Amid all this, there’s one brand making headlines for its amazing works: Faraday Future.

Faraday Future is among the fewer automakers that many have never heard of, as the brand just came into the automotive scene in 2014. A few years ago, Faraday Future announced the creation of the FF91 electric SUV. The brand later unveiled this crossover at the January 2017 U.S. Consumer Electronics Show, as a unique 130 kWh EV of its kind. With over 64,124 reservations in 36 hours, Faraday Future planned on having the EV market-ready by 2019. But financial problems led to its production delay. Lately, the brand completed a merger with Property Solutions Acquisition Corp. This reignited the FF91’s production and instilled hope into anyone wishing to buy and drive this amazing electric crossover.

There’s a lot to expect from the Californian crossover. It comes with cutting-edge technology, featuring an advanced A.I. that learns its owner’s preferences. It’s also packed with a plethora of interior equipment and safety features. The FF91 comes with a hefty $300,000 price tag, but a less expensive version will follow down the line.

Faraday Future confirmed that the FF91 crossover will go into production in the third quarter of 2022.

The Faraday Future FF91 Boasts An Impressive Appearance

At first glance, the Faraday Future FF91 has a futuristic look, dynamic design with a low ride height, and an overall aerodynamic character. The FF91 is an excellent piece of art. It perfectly demonstrates the future of the growing automotive segment. Looking closer, you’ll pick some striking similarities between the FF91 and Chrysler’s 2022 Airflow Concept. Particularly in terms of their shape and frontal design.

At the front, the FF91 features minimalist headlamps and a distinctively-patterned grille with the Faraday logo. An LED stripe lamp spans from one end to the other, enveloping the main headlamps, for a nice finish. The front end also comes with special vents. These not only add a bolder and sporty characteristic, but they also improve the crossover’s driving performance through aerodynamic benefits. The most astounding feature at the rear is the massive and one-of-a-kind stoplight, which gets a cool illumination 3D effect. The rear also gets air outlets and a slanted roofline, both of which highlight its sportiness.

With a majority of EVs offering two or a single motor, the FF91 packs up to 3 electric motors. With their output combined, these motors offer 1050 Horsepower and 1328 lb.-ft of torque to the driver. The strong 130 kWh battery offers a thrilling 378 miles on a single charge. This immediately puts it at par with other desirable crossover options, like the Tesla Model X, Polestar 2, and the Volkswagen ID.3. According to the brand, the battery on the FF91 utilizes cylindrical 2170 cells. But unlike most EV batteries, the FF91 comes engrossed in liquid, which brings a lot of cooling benefits. The motor system connects to the FF91’s all-wheel-drive system and the dynamic vehicle control, to deliver an outstanding performance. Thanks to the strong motors, and swift drivetrain components, the FF91 can go from zero to 60 mph in as little as 2.39 seconds.
