Ferrari FF is the most practical, most usable, and most easy to live with Ferrari. FF here indicates 'Ferrari Four', which means the car is four-wheel drive and has four seats. This car made its first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011. The FF is a grand tourer built to carry four people in a luxury manner with high performance. Unconventionally, the FF was not a coupe or hatch, but rather a shooting brake body style. FF was a perfect mixture of performance and luxury, and it was the fastest four-seat vehicle of its time.

Not destined to run circles around the racetracks, the FF was still a high-speed sports car. The construction made it driveable anywhere, anytime, in any weather or road conditions. Here is a detailed look back at the most practical Ferrari.

The FF's design was futuristic and innovative. The chassis of the FF was unique in every aspect and designed for higher cabin comfort and space requirements. Like all Ferraris, the chassis construction consisted mainly of aluminum for weight reduction. Also, the Italian carmaker used various alloys for better component efficiency and better performance-to-weight ratio.

The exterior of the FF is exceptionally streamlined and aerodynamic. The aerodynamics of this car was the best ever achieved by such a car during that time. The ratio of its drag coefficient Cd (0.329) and downforce coefficient Ci (0.200) was 0.608.

Manufacturers focused on shaping each area of the car with function in mind. Air flows were transmitted with curves around the tail light and over the roof for better low drag. Two vents on each side help the airflow exit from the engine compartment.

The FF had pulled back headlights and also twin circular taillights of 458 Italia. Unique styling included an egg-crate grille, defined side skirts, and four exhaust tips. The wheelbase of the FF car 117.7 inches, and it weighs around 4,145 lb, which is'nt exactly light for a Ferrari.

Under the long hood of the FF, is a naturally aspirated F140 EB 6.3L V12 engine, which was the largest road-going Ferrari engine. It produced 650 hp and 504 lb-ft of torque. This car has a top speed of 208 mph, and it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds.

FF had a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. The Ferrari FF also had a unique AWD system, which is called Ferrari's 4RM. It is 50% lighter as compared to other standard AWD systems. This system provides power to the wheel as needed.

Two gearboxes were used. A two-speed gearbox in the front works with a seven-speed gearbox in the rear. The front transmission is a helical gear set with two forward speeds and a reverse. The company says 4RM was used to make this car more usable in all weather conditions.
