Addictive Desert Designs is starting out 2019 with brand new front and rear bumpers for the Silverado and Sierra 1500 pickup trucks.
Last December, ADD introduced us to the Rock Fighter bumper for the 1500 Chevy and GMC pickups. Designed to be a minimalist’s dream, the Rock Fighter improves the Sierra and Silverado’s ground clearance while still protecting its delicate undersides from sharp and jagged outcrops.
Now, ADD starts us off in 2019 with brand new front and rear bumpers for the redesigned 2019 GMC Sierra and Silverado 1500 pickups. And what better way than with ADD’s iconic Stealth Fighter series of bumpers?
This series of front and rear bumpers have already appeared on previous pickup models, such as the 2018 Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 pickups. Now the new Sierra and Silverado get the same treatment in the form of beautiful and heavy-duty steel bumpers.
Both designs are quite similar given the Silverado and Sierra’s shared platform, with the only difference being in the design of the front bumper. The Silverado’s Stealth Fighter design extends all the way up to the headlights, while the Sierra’s sits a little lower down. However, the rear bumpers are entirely swappable as ADD doesn’t even bother to make a distinction between the two on their website.
Also, both truck’s bumpers are 100% bolt-on, so there’s no need to cut or otherwise modify the truck. Just take off the old bumper and slap on the new.
Options include a universal light mount that can contain up to 10 LED cubs or a 40-inch LED light bar, cutouts for adaptive cruise control and forward and rear collision sensors, and an optional front and rear winch mount. You can also mount smaller LED clusters in the side panels if you desperately need the front-end of your truck to light up like the sun.
