Monterey Car Week happens every year in California, and its focus is on cars. There are tons of car auctions, as well as art exhibits and races. It is an event to remember and every year a new set of cars cycles into the lot for people from all over the world to see.

10 10. 1931 Bentley 4½ Liter Supercharged Birkin Le Mans Replica
It was popular back in the day to buy a Bentley and have it restructured into the race car style, even when the owner had no plans to race it. This was one the original 50 factory blowers created by Bentley for the Le Mans Race. It was bodied by Vanden Plas and came from the Virgil Millett collection.
This car is history and holds a lot of value with those who appreciate the progression of racing cars. It was estimated to sell for $2.75 to $3.75 million and it can be used in the Le Mans Classic which was a huge selling point.
9 9. 2015 Porsche 918 Weissach Spyder
This car was estimated to sell for $1.6 to $1.8 million and we can see why based on its beautiful exterior alone. This was number 472 of the few 918 cars produced and it doubles as a plug-in hybrid. The car was initially introduced at the 2010 Geneva Auto Show and has been a huge hit ever since.
It has three modes consisting of electric-only, hybrid, and race-hybrid. It can reach 217 MPH at top speed and was only driven 2,872 miles prior to its sale. It has the exclusive $84,000 Weissach Package, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
8 8. 1965 Ford GT40 Roadster Prototype
This vehicle sold for $7,650,000 and the reason it cost so much was that it was one of the first Roadsters ever built, and it was the eighth of twelve GT40 prototypes to leave the production line.
This car has seen things no other man has before as it has held drivers like Jim Clark and Carroll Shelby. It would be the crowning achievement of any car collection and is meant to be shown at vintage car shows or put on display in different museums.
7 7. 1966 Ferrari 275 GTS
This red beauty was estimated to sell for $1.1 to $1.4 million and it is rare as only 200 cars were ever built. It had originally been in the care of the same man since 1983, but it was originally introduced to the world at the Paris Auto Show in October 1964. It has a classic wood-trimmed steering wheel and black leather seats anyone would want to sink into.

The car itself was reborn after its mechanics were taken care of and the body was stripped and repainted in dazzling red. It is no surprise that this car managed to sell among a bunch of other mediocre options.
6 6. 1946 Pontiac Streamliner Station Wagon
This particular station wagon was created by Pontiac and produced right here in the USA. The car itself was fancy, especially with the wooden siding that made it so desirable. This was the premium build for this car, and it was the perfect way to meet the increase in demand after the war.
They are in high demand for a reason and this is due to its design, as well as the history associated with its release. Pontiac's previous build may not have been that popular, but the release of this vehicle in 1946 changed things for them for the better.
5 5. 1939 Porsche Type 64
This is the last remaining Porsche's of the three that were originally created. It was used as a personal car by the Porsche family themselves and it was previously owned by Otto Mathé, a private racing driver.
This car was damaged in an accident back in 1939, but it was repaired and later the iconic Porsche script was added to the front of the vehicle. It may be old and funky-looking, but it is an icon in Porsche's history that deserves to be preserved until the end of time.
4 4. 1961 Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Coupe Aerodinamico by Pininfarina
This car did not sell at the auction, but it is still up for grabs for the right price. It has been certified by Ferrari Classiche as it still contains its original engine, gearbox, and rear differential. There were only seventeen of these vehicles ever made and it was the fifth one to leave the production line.
This car gained a following after it was featured on the cover of Car and Driver back in 1963. It may have switched hands quite a few times, and even traveled to several different countries, but it is still in fantastic condition to this day.
3 3. 1936 Bugatti Type 57 Atalante
This car was priced to sell at $2.25 million which is no surprise as it was personally designed by Jean Bugatti himself. The interior is full of fine woodwork and the restoration done to keep this vehicle looking as good as new was extensive.
It is truly a stunning car that any car enthusiast would love to own, but the price tag is a bit much for most of us. The style and design of this car are unique in a way that is full of grace and poise. Jean Bugatti must have been inspired to come up with a car as gorgeous as this one.
2 2. 1994 McLaren F-1 'LM-Specification'
This masterpiece sold for $19.8 million during the auction and most of us wish we had the dough to throw at a purchase like this. This is one of two vehicles that were modified to meet LM specifications, so it is considered a rarity in the car world.
It comes with an unrestricted racing engine and even received the added benefit of attention from Mclaren's Special Operations. This is the ultimate car, and it is obvious someone saw the power it would give them behind the wheel when they decided to sign the dotted line on this purchase.
1 1. 1953 Aston Martin DB3S Works
This vehicle is currently still for sale since it failed to sell at the Monterey Auction. This car is one of only ten that are still left in the world and it was raced by the renowned Peter Collins.
The car is an important part of Aston Martin's history, especially when it comes to racing, and it is still eligible to take part in several events. This is one of only a few cars from the postwar era that can still be enjoyed on the roadways as it has stood against the test of time.
