Paul Teutul, Sr., the founder of Orange County Choppers, which is featured on the reality series American Chopper, is getting into the retail business. Orange County Choppers, based in Orange County, New York, will join forces with Bubba’s Exotic Motorsports to launch a selection of custom-built bikes, which will be named the Senior series.

“The Senior is based on my original bike design that started it all, many years ago. I am so proud to bring back that design with modern features and technology,” Teutel says. "I poured a lot of passion and a lifetime of experience into a design that combines old-school looks with modern-day reliability," said Teutul Sr. "I think the 'Senior' is the crowning achievement of my career."

Teutel will launch the brand at the Exotics on Las Olas event in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on Sunday, Nov.11, 2018. He will also be on hand for a meet-and-greet with fans. Bubba’s Exotic Motorsports will also showcase a few custom vehicles, such as a monster Jeep upgrade and an Audi R8 V10 built for Derek Dietrich, a second baseman for the Miami Marlins.

According to Ride Apart, the Senior series will feature two different models, a rigid chopper model with no rear suspension, and a soft tail chopper. The bikes are known as 'springers' since they have several springs in the front suspension and a few in the seat to absorb road bumps. They also have a 16-inch rear tire and a 21-inch front tire. The Senior will be powered by a new Harley-Davidson Panhead engine and will include an S&S E-series carburetor, an EDL belt-driven primary, and a final chain-drive rear sprocket, with a five-speed transmission inside a four-speed frame, as well as front and rear disc brakes.

Orange County Choppers will only offer 100 bikes the first year. A percentage of the bike sales at Exotics on Las Olas will benefit the Wounded Veteran's Relief Fund, which provides emergency financial support to disabled post 9/11 veterans. At the event, Orange County Choppers will also showcase a few bikes from its personal collection.

Despite just getting into the retail bike business, Orange County Choppers Over has been selling a range of licensed products for the past 15 years, including apparel, automotive products, motorcycle accessories, sporting goods, and even food products. The brand claims that sales of licensed products have exceeded $300 million. American Chopper returns for its second season to the Discovery Channel in spring 2019.
