The next generation of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 will arrive for the 2022 model year. As speculations say, the next-gen AMG C 63 would be powered by a hybridized four-cylinder mill, which still provide massive power output and torque. Sadly, though, the roaring AMG V8 mill will be ditched for good at Mercedes-Benz.

Manhart Performance, which have been tuning cars of different makes, has a fitting farewell for the good old V8 – by offering them in boosted form in the new Manhart CR 700 Wagon.

The Manhart CR 700 Wagon is essentially the performance firm’s estate/wagon version of the CR 700, which is the company very first AMG project. Common denominator to the equation is the hand-built, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine of the AMG C 63 S, which is tuned to make 503 hp (510 PS) of max output and 516 lb-ft of peak torque.

As the name of the Manhart model says, the CR 700 Wagon offers around 700 hp of max output, and more. According to the company, the boosted V8 engine of the CR 700 Wagon delivers 702 hp (710 hp) and around 678 lb-ft of peak torque. This is made possible by an in-house turbo performance kit that includes upgraded turbochargers, carbon intake, intercooler upgrade as well as final ECU remapping.

Manhart says the CR 700 is capable of sprinting from 62 mph to 124 mph in just 5.5 seconds!

Customers can further upgrade the AMG exhaust system of their CR 700 Wagon with either Manhart sports downpipes (with 200-cell catalytic converters) or race downpipes (without catalytic converter). Since these downpipes are fitted into the CR 700 without TÜV approval, the vehicle can’t be driven in Germany but can be exported to other countries.

Manhart also upgraded the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed transmission to ensure it could adapt to the increased power of the CR 700 Wagon. The tuning firm can upgrade the suspension system with a Manhart coil spring set by H&R. Manhart also offers individually configurable upgrades for the braking system and interior of the CR 700 Wagon.

Exterior upgrades to the CR 700 Wagon include the signature Manhart body decor decorated with gold pinstripes. These pinstripes are also found on the Manhart Concave One double-spoke wheels (in satin black) measuring 9×20 inches on the front and 10.5×20 inches on the rear. They are shod with high-performance tires on the front and 275/30ZR20 rubbers on the rear.
