Whether you are a fan of his movies or not, Keanu Reeves commands astounding celebrity status due to his appearances in at least 75 movies, including popular blockbuster movies such as John Wick and The Matrix, and numerous other Hollywood projects.

What many don't know, however, is that Keanu has a near-obsession with motorcycles, a burning desire that got triggered in him since he rode his first bike at the age of 22. That affinity has pushed him to amass numerous motorbikes that range from the classic Norton Commando 850 MKA2 to the Harley Davidson 1084, several Suzuki models, and even the Ducati 998 featured on his 2004 film The Matrix Reloaded.

It's that same passion for motorcycles that eventually lead him to found his own bespoke motorcycle company in 2011, dubbed ARCH Motorcycle. In this list, we'll be sharing some of the more obscure facts about his bike company and how he runs it.

Here's everything you need to know about Keanu's own ARCH Motorcycle Company.

14 Keanu's Interest In Bikes That Lead To ARCH

At age 22, young Keanu developed an interest in motorbikes during a filming session in Munich, Germany. Apparently, while going about shooting the movie, Keanu encountered a woman who rode a sleek Kawasaki 600 Enduro. After a brief tete-a tete with the lady in German, Keanu flew into America with Kawasaki’s image in mind, thirsty for a bike of his own.

13 The ARCH Franchise Is Owned In Partnership

Keanu is not the only person behind ARCH Motorcycle. His friend and colleague Gard Hollinger has been with him for the entire journey. Hollinger is a talented bike builder and it's that talent that made Keanu realize that the two of them could build something special together.

12 Why Create ARCH?

With the kind of money Keanu has earned in his acting career, buying off a bike shop and selling bikes as the owner would have been no problem at all. But, that's not why he founded ARCH.

You see, in 2007, Keanu asked Gard Hollinger to help him customize his Harley Davidson Dyna. The prototype that came about as a final result of the duo's effort was unlike anything either of them had ever ridden. He figured he should share this bike with the world. So, Keanu convinced Hollinger to start a small company and build their own special bikes as a way to leave their legacy behind - and so ARCH was born.

11  Keanu Likes To Experiment With Different Bikes

Keanu is known to be inquisitive, and from a business standpoint, it took more than wisdom for him to picture the kind of motorcycle he envisioned for his company. He occasionally went bike-testing from one dealer to another just to be sure of the kind of bike he needed for his startup company. It is from a combination of features he found in other variants that Keanu built his ARCH motorcycle brands.

In fact, Keanu has stated on multiple occasions that the bike designs come from his own imagination where he tries to accomplish what he believes a bike should look like.

9  He’s A Minimalist

Keanu, together with his business partner, Gard Hollinger, often jokingly referS to their workshop as a boutique shop that manufactures six-figure super performance motorcycles. From the time the duo entered into a business partnership, part of their engagement was to manufacture no more than 100 units from three models: namely THE KRGT, the 1S, and the Method 143.
