Since 1971, Audi's slogan around the world has been "Vorsprung Durch Technik," which roughly translates to "Being Ahead Through Technology." For whatever reason, Audi has decided to use another slogan specifically for the US: "Truth in Engineering." Either way, it seems Audi wants consumers to know that their engineering is superior to that of the competition. Seeing as Audi is one of the more expensive and prestigious vehicle brands, that seems like a good message to send.

Without a doubt, Audi produces stunning-looking vehicles with high levels of performance and luxury options inside and out. Their AWD systems are legendary, and their interiors are top quality.

Audi's branding places them in elite company and paints a reliable and prestigious picture for potential consumers. However, it seems as if some older models fall short of that image based on actual owner experiences.

The A3 ranked fourth out of seventeen luxury compact cars with an average annual repair of $741.00, fewer visits to the garage, and a two-percent lower probability than the average of the repair being a severe issue.
