MC20 Touches Down In Northern California

It was not surprising for Maserati to pick the Concours d'Elegance as the most proper event to unveil its new super sports car in Northern California. After all, the Concours d'Elegance isn't just the finale of the Monterey Car Week, but a prestigious gathering where the most elegant and most innovative of automobiles and motorcycles of both old and new vie for being the best. In fact, it is an event that attracts the attention of the whole automotive world.

Displayed at the Pebble Beach Concept Lawn, the Maserati MC20 showed off its elegance and style to visitors of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. In fact, the MC20 already has the credentials to back up its claim to godly elegance. Prior to its North American debut, the MC20 has already reaped several prestigious awards.

Then at the end of March, the new Maserati MC20 received the prize for “Best of the Best” at the Red Dot Awards 2021 in the Product Design category. A jury of around 50 international experts found the Italian super sports car as one of the dozens of awardees from different categories, including fashion, accessories, furnishings and vehicles.

MC20 Elegance Backed By F1-Derived Power

Prior to its Northern California debut, the Maserati MC20 had its UK dynamic debut at Goodwood’s 27th Festival of Speed. The super sports car took on the world-famous 1.16-mile hill climb in the Supercar Run to show off what it could offer aside from being beautifully elegant.

The MC20 didn’t disappoint since its exceptional power to weight ratio – thanks to its F1-derived Nettuno V6 engine – allows the super sports car to sprint from nil to 62 mph in 2.88 seconds and achieve a top speed of around 202 mph.
