Announced on February 1st, 2022, the Aston Martin DBX 707 was quickly labeled the "world's most powerful petrol crossover"—a title that speaks for itself. Let's see why. The mid-engine SUV was built on the already-powerful Aston Martin DBX that the manufacturers infused with multiple redesigned parts and cool features, which we will be covering in this list.

Presumably, this specific vehicle was created with one thing in mind: to dethrone other powerhouses in its segment such as the Bentley Bentayga S, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and Range Rover Sport SVR. As you are about to find out, Aston Martin didn't only try, but they also succeeded.

With extreme performance, unparalleled comfort, and sophisticated technology, the 2022 SUV boasts an aggressive yet stylish design that is unmistakably Aston Martin. All these details are great but let's move on to the things we are really interested in which are the coolest features of the Aston Martin DBX 707!

10 Powerful AMG-Built Engine

The DBX 707 is powered by a twin-turbo 4-liter V8 engine designed and used by the Mercedes AMG line. The 4.0L powerhouse offers 707 hp (thus the model's name) and 663 lb-ft of torque, which, compared to the standard DBX, is a 155 hp and 147 lb-ft increase. Furthermore, the car has a top speed of 193 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 3.1 seconds as tested by Autocar.

9 Rear Spoiler

The rear end of the DBX demanded a couple of unique additions such as the quad exhaust (we'll talk about later in the list) as well as the rear spoiler. The extended rear spoiler is made of carbon fiber and is complemented by aero-vortex blades featured on the re-profiled winged rear diffuser. Thanks to these additions, the car appears lower while at the same time gaining an assertive character and becoming more dynamic.

8 A Powerhouse Of A Transmission

In order to harness the full power of the new and improved engine, the DBX needed a more substantial transmission. As a result, the designers integrated a 9-speed gearbox, but the conventional torque converter was swapped for a racing-grade wet clutch which is something you won't get to see regularly on an SUV. However, this decision resulted in 30% faster shifts thus allowing access to the engine's full potential.

7 Larger Alloy Wheels

The DBX 707 comes with brand-new bigger 23-inch alloy wheels that not only provide the vehicle with elevation but also work excellently with the rest of the car's sharp lines and overall exterior design. This also makes the car seem better proportioned compared to the standard DBX.

6 Braking Power

Talking about the wheels, we thought it'd be a good idea to give the brakes a mention as well. So, behind the enlarged alloy wheels, you're going to find enormous 420mm front and 390mm rear brake discs made of carbon-ceramic. We think it's worth mentioning that these are the largest brakes to be ever fitted to an Aston Martin. Apart from greater durability and an improved pedal feel when driving, the stopping distance has been shortened significantly.

5 The Ultimate Center Console

Folks over at Aston Martin reimagined the role of the center console by allowing the driver to access pretty much every aspect of the vehicle. You can use it to change between drive modes, turn off the ESP, transition to the manual gearbox mode, and control the suspension and the exhausts in case you want to switch from a quiet ride to the mighty V8 soundtrack and vice versa.

4 Multiple Drive Modes

A new rotary switch located at the center console gives the driver instant access to a series of drive modes. There are five of them. The "Terrain" mode is designed for off-road driving, the "GT" for maximum driving comfort, the "Sport" and "Sport+" for intense performance, and the "Individual" allows the driver to customize pretty much everything including the suspension, steering, and exhaust.

3 Quad Exhaust

Well, there isn't much to talk about here other than the fact that it's up to the driver to either drive quietly or cause havoc on the interstate with the loud quad exhaust fitted at the rear. Once again, every aspect of the rear exterior's design complements the rest of the car and makes the DBX appear lower while adding a dynamic feel.

2 Infotainment System

Coming with 10.25-inch central and 12.3-inch driver information displays, the DBX 707's infotainment system provides access to various aspects of the car. For example, the system supports Apple CarPlay and voice controls. Other additions include multiple USB ports, 12v charging sockets found throughout the car, satellite navigation, and FM radio, among many others.
