Since the debut of the legendary Quattro system in 1980, the German luxury marque, Audi, has become one of the most successful figures across the motorsport scene. After dominating rally in the '80s, it turned its attention to the European touring car series during the '90s, and finally endurance racing during the '00s.

After numerous titles, stage wins, and podiums, Audi has still ignored the call of Formula, insisting it has no real relation to road cars. Audi instead decided to focus its efforts on long-distance rally races — also known as Rally Raid. Announcing the contemporary RS Q e-tron in 2020, the prototype debuted in 2021 with an intention to use the Dakar Rally as its professional maiden voyage. Only managing to win a couple stages in its inaugural race, the RS Q e-tron made history at the 2022 Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge as the first electric vehicle to win a rally raid. Thus, forever changing the layout of professional long-distance rallying.

So what better vehicle to become one of the focal points at the all-new Mobility Summit taking place at the OMR Festival in Hamburg, Germany? After handing the keys to team driver Mattias Ekström and co-driver Emil Bergkvist, the e-tron raided the city of Hamburg before arriving at the "Online Marketing Rockstars Festival."

Europe's premier festival for digital marketing and tech, the OMR Fest returns from a two-year hiatus, intending to make an electric bang. Usually reserved for online marketing firms and tech, OMR elected to unveil the "FUTURE MOVES - New Mobility Summit" in an effort to "drive forward the transformation of mobility" according to the OMR website.

Making the ahead-of-its-time RS Q e-tron the perfect mascot, thanks to its cutting-edge technology, and intriguing appearance. But not before proving its worth on the streets of Hamburg where we join Ekström and Bergkvist in greeting their vehicle at the Port of Hamburg.

Home to tech giants like Google, AirBnb, and Twitter, Hamburg's culture is brimming with the latest technology — leading the city to become the home of the OMR Fest. So it was no surprise when Ekström commented after the tour of Hamburg that "our car is simply made for campaigns like this." He continued on to say " it inspires people and shows that electric cars are not only useful, but also fascinating and lots of fun."

Propelled by its two electric motors, the 671 horsepower RS Q e-tron looks to return next year to even more success, especially after spending its offseason at the Audi Sport factory where an updated version is in the development process.
