I think I speak for all of us when I say we would love a fantastic car collection of our own. We are all car lovers here at the end of the day. I myself would love a collection of JDM cars full of Hondas, Mazdas, and Nissans. And it’s funny I should bring up Honda, as YouTube channel Excessive Play has met up with Honda fan Chase, who has a huge passion for restoring cars, and especially so when it comes to JDM Hondas. And there are so many fantastic Hondas featured in this collection.

A Passion Ignited

Chase’s passion started when he visited Japan with his father and saw the Honda Beat for the first time. It was at that moment he just knew he had to get one of those cars and set about restoring one. From there, he met a legendary Japanese car restorer and that only amplified his passion for JDM Hondas even more. Through that, he ordered an engine and transmission for his car, and eventually, he had it shipped out to him.

So, what else does Chase have in his collection? Well, to put it short, it’s a lot! There is a 1999 Civic Type R with the facelift on as well as a 185 hp engine. And a very clean and gorgeous looking car. Then there is his Integra Type R, perhaps one of the best Hondas to ever be produced. Chase’s is a 1998 edition with just 10,000 km and is ultra, ultra-clean. And, as he himself says, they are all timeless.

What A Collection

This is certainly a collection that'll make any of us jealous. And it has given Chase a very special connection with Japan. Perhaps one of his favorite cars is his 1998 Honda Stepwagon, which he did a huge rebuild and customization on and took a lot of factory options as well. The chassis was completely restored and it even has an all-new suspension system on it that Chase fitted himself. He has honed his craft over the years and has got one of the finest Honda collections in the world.
