In June of this year, Bentley proved that luxury can also be fast and powerful by posting a new record as the fastest production car at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. To celebrate this record-breaking feat, Bentley is introducing the new Continental GT Limited Edition. Boasting the same looks and engine as the record-breaking Grand Tourer, the limited edition model could be a new addition to your budding car collection.
3 Green Monster Tribute
Wrapped in green finish and piloted by Rhys Millen, the Bentley Continental GT completed the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado - covering a distance of 12.42 miles - in just 10 minutes and 18.488 seconds, or around 8.4 seconds faster than the previous record holder.
The Bentley Continental GT Limited Edition follows the color scheme employed on the Pikes Peak car; it is wrapped in a greenish Radium by Mulliner paintwork and a carbon fiber body kit. Its front roof panel, wing mirrors, lower bumper inserts and rear surfaces feature gloss black detailing. An optional ‘100’ grille can also be optioned, similar to the one in the Pikes Peak GT car.
A Pikes Peak decal can be found on the front bumper of the Continental GT Limited Edition, which rides on 22-inch gloss black Mulliner Driving Specification wheels hugged by Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tires (Radium Finish). Acid Green brake disc calipers complete the exterior looks.
2 Sporty Yet Luxurious Cabin
Bentleys are known for being luxurious, but this limited edition is also sporty. This appeal is made possible by the abundance of carbon fiber trim inside complemented by a black center console. The cabin also feature Alcantara seats with contrasting Radium thread stitching as well as Pikes Peak embroidery (in Radium stitching) on the seat headrests.
The car’s steering wheel features a Radium colored honeycomb stitching design and center stripe. A graphic on the front fascia features a section of the Pikes Peak track, and the numbers 10:18.488, which refers to the record time set by the Bentley Continental GT in Pikes Peak.
1 Effortless Power
The new Bentley Continental GT Limited Edition is powered by a twin-turbocharged Bentley W12 engine that is tuned to deliver 626 bhp of output and 664 lb-ft. (900 Nm) of torque. This allows the limited edition to sprint from nil to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 207 mph.
Bentley will build just 15 examples of the Pikes Peak Continental GT Limited Edition, which is now available to order. The price hasn’t been disclosed but it should be more expensive than a standard Continental GT, which has a starting tag of $216,400.
