The likes of the completely redesigned 2022 Hyundai Tucson and the 2021 Nissan Rogue tell us how serious automakers are keen on making a mark in the compact crossover segment. Both are quite polarising in many ways, but share a common goal of providing the most bang for the buck. This also makes for a very intense and close-knitted face-off between the two.

These two stand out notably among the 20 or so compact crossovers available in the market right now and for solid reasons too. The all-new Hyundai Tucson steals the show with its radical styling and spacious cabin layout. On the other hand, the new Nissan Rogue leads the race with its impressive suite of technology and safety features. And being a Nissan, reliability is a no-brainer for the 2021 Rogue.

The best part about this face-off is that both these SUVs have their fair share of perks. While pricing is neck-on-neck, Hyundai manages to provide a much diverse platter than the Nissan when it comes to the trim-table. This one is going to be tough and even we at HotCars are split for choice between these competent SUVs.

2022 Hyundai Tucson and 2021 Nissan Rogue are the hottest compact SUVs out there, fisting it out for the Best Compact Crossover tag.

Hyundai has gone for a clean and tech-savvy layout which is evident from the dashboard that gets a lot more screens than its counterparts. But it has a mixed layout with both good and mediocre bits, in materials. The seats are leather-trimmed and provide impressive seating space in all its rows.
