Entry-level supercars are all the rage nowadays. It's a competitive market, and it seems every performance car manufacturer is bringing out their own entry-level supercar. A supercar that isn't too expensive, with the trade-off of being slightly less powerful than the purebred supercar models.

With so many of these entry-level supercars around, it's difficult to tell which are the best ones. Which one should you spend your money on? Because, at the end of the day, these cars are still quite expensive!

The new kid on this list, and it doesn't disappoint. The MC20 is Maserati's first mid-engined sports car since the 2004 MC12 hypercar. The MC20 will also be Maserati's flagship, and it hopes to create a new era for the brand. It's powered by a 3.0 twin-turbo V6 that produces 621hp and 518 lb-ft of torque.

The MC20 will shoot to 60 in the expected sub-3-second mark with flat-out speeds of over 200 mph. It has a lot of carbon fiber, and only weighs 1500 kg, despite having butterfly doors. One of the more expensive entry-level supercars at over $200,000 base price, it will be one of the quickest cars of 2021.

Everyone always goes on about how good this car is, and the most popular argument for it is that it can be used every day, whilst giving you seriously quick performance figures. The Turbo S is powered by a 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat 6 with an impressive 641hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The result of all of this is a 0-60 time of 2.7 seconds, and flat out a top speed of 205 mph.

The Turbo S seats four, it has a decent-sized frunk, and it also features a lot of technology such as AWD and all-wheel steering. A new Turbo S starts at just over $203,000, which is a lot of money. However, it was one of the best cars launched last year, and it is one of the best supercars today.

8 Corvette C8

via Motor1

This is the cheapest option here. However, don't mistake this car for being similar to purchasing the cheapest airline ticket, because this car set a new benchmark. The Corvette C8, despite the $59,995 starting price, is a full-on supercar. It has 490hp and 465 lb-ft of torque (495hp and 470 torque in the Z51 pack).

Via racingsportconcepts.com

This results in a 2.8 second 0-60 time and a top speed of 194 mph. That is insanely fast, and it handles really well too. Inside it has a very driver-focused interior and a proper dual-clutch 8-speed gearbox. Unfortunately, GM is having issues with the production of the new C8, and with such high-demand, dealers have been doubling or tripling their prices over the MSRP on the new C8.

7 Audi R8 V10 Performance

The Audi R8 is a veteran in the entry-level supercar category. It's been around for over a decade now and the latest V10 Plus model is the best yet. The Audi R8 V10 Plus has 612hp and 428 lb-ft of torque. It shares the same 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 as the Lamborghini Huracán. The 0-60 takes place in 3.1 seconds, and it does a top speed of 206 mph.

This supercar is rocket-ship fast, and it's also has a very spartan interior which feels more like a fighter jet cockpit. It's built really well, and it looks so smart. A proper supercar and it costs over $171,000 base.

6 Aston Martin Vantage

The Aston Martin Vantage is an amazing car with such a muscular engine and a beautiful body. Under the hood is a Mercedes M177 4.0 Biturbo V8 with 503hp and 505 lb-ft of torque. It's mounted as far back as possible, so it is essentially a front-mid-engined car. It does a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds and a flat-out speed of 195 mph. Insanely fast.

Via Wheels.ca

The Vantage is a true driver's car, and it even has a dog-leg 7-speed manual gearbox. It is a crazy car and prices start at just over $142,000. There is even a convertible model too, which makes the driving experience second to none.

5 McLaren 570S

Via: super-car-hire.co.uk

The McLaren 570S will be replaced soon by the new Artura, but for the time being this is McLaren's offering in the entry-level supercar world. The 570S was launched back in 2015, and it shocked many people. It was curvy and sexy. It had dihedral doors like a McLaren F1 and a thumping 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 with 562hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.

It hits 60 in 3.2 seconds and flat out the 570S does a top speed of 204 mph. That's incredibly fast and the 570S looks so much more expensive than it actually is. The 570S starts at just over $192,000 which is a lot, but it is just as fast as a proper supercar and actually quite comfortable as well.

It's one of the most powerful AMG cars ever made, and it did a lap of the Nürburgring in 7:10:92 which is pretty quick. It starts at almost $163,000, which is a fair price for such a great car.

3 Nissan GT-R

via alphr.com

The Nissan GT-R is a seriously quick car and at a base MSRP of just over $113,000, it's one of the cheapest cars on this list. It's also the most practical with 4 seats and a proper trunk. It does away with 0-60 in a mere 2.5 seconds and flat out will do over 200 mph. It's the fastest car here.

Via gtspirit.com

The GT-R is a bit old though, and it does need replacing soon. It's been around since 2007, making it a pensioner in the car world. However, it sure doesn't move like a pensioner with those ludicrous performance figures.

2 Acura NSX

Via motorbiscuit.com

The Acura NSX is a car that nobody seems to buy despite it being an excellent supercar. Audi has sold more R8 models in a year than Acura has with the NSX... during its entire lifetime. The NSX is powered by a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 and three electric motors onboard. That means the NSX has a combined output of 573hp and 476 lb-ft of torque (500hp and 406 lb-ft of torque from the engine and 73hp and 70 lb-ft of torque from the electric motor).

The NSX manages a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds and flat out it does 191 mph. It is stupidly quick and stupidly underrated. Probably the most underrated supercar out there and the prices start at $157,500, which is pretty decent.

1 Jaguar F-Type R

via thecarconnection

Some people will say that the Jaguar F-Type R isn't a proper supercar. However, the figures talk differently. The F-Type R has 567hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. It hits 60 in just 3.5 seconds and flat out it does a limited 186 mph. It uses the same engine as the old SVR F-Type, which was a 200+ mph supercar.

The F-Type R is ridiculously fast, and it looks really aggressive too. It has a loud and beefy supercharged 5-liter V8 engine under the hood and its exhaust sounds like a bunch of firecrackers. This is a proper naughty supercar, and it even has AWD. Prices start at just over $103,000.
