Once upon a time, Lincoln was the leading luxury automobile manufacturer with a reputation for building and designing state-of-the-art coupes and sedans. Lincoln, a Ford Motors affiliate while not at the top of the luxury car game anymore, continues to build impressive luxury cars. It has put a lot of effort into transforming a lot of its lineup into SUVs and crossovers.

The only sedans left in its lineup are the Continental and the entry-level MKZ, that struggle for scrapes in their segments. With much less of the market share, Lincoln still has a prominent nameplate to boast; the three-row Navigator, which is still America’s darling. Here’s a list of ten best Lincoln cars on the market.

10 2016 Lincoln MKS

The 2016 Lincoln MKS is a luxury car from Lincoln based on the Ford Taurus. It has quite an anonymous appearance, but sadly, it drives the same. The 2016 MKS comes with a 112.9-inch wheelbase, with enough adult space at the back to seat three comfortably.

The MKS also comes with a huge trunk space that can easily hold all its occupant’s luggage for a weekend trip. The Lincoln MKS has two engine options. The standard version, a V6 front-wheel-drive generating 304hp and an all-wheel-drive version with an Eco Boost V6 turbocharged engine producing 365hp.

9 2019 Lincoln MKT

The 2019 Lincoln MKT shares its platform with the Ford Flex, and as the Flex, it is equally roomy and comfortable. It offers a more modern and luxurious appeal compared to its MKS sibling. The 2016 MKT comes with a V6 twin-turbo engine generating 365hp mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission on an all-wheel-drive platform.

The Lincoln MKT offers great acceleration and can do zero to 60mph in 6.1 seconds. It comes with an impressive three-mode adjustable suspension that adds to its already commendable handling and drives quality. Prospective owners should expect heated seats, an 8-inch infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, and safety features such as blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and automated emergency braking.

8 Lincoln MKX

The Lincoln MKX combines premium sheet metal with high standard features to help set it apart from the crossover world. But underneath it all, the MKX is a Ford Edge in sheep’s clothing. It comes in two variants; a standard option with a 3.7L V6 making 303hp and a 2.7L V6 twin-turbo engine variant generating 335hp.

Both versions come with a 6-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel and front-wheel variants are optional in both trims. The MKX comes with an impressive luxury interior with supple leather seats and a 19-speaker Revel audio system that is optional.

7 2019 Lincoln MKC

The 2019 Lincoln MKC shares a lot with the Ford Escape; however, due to its nicer cabin, elegant sheet metal, and distinctive grille, you could easily confuse it with its mainstream sibling. The 2019 MKC has two engine variations; a 2L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine making 285 hp (similar Ford Escape), and a 2.3L 4-cylinder engine making 285hp.

Both these variations use a 6-speed automatic transmission. With the all-wheel-drive variant, prospective owners get an adaptive suspension. For the front-wheel version, this feature is optional. The MKC performs poorly compared to its rivals; Mercedes GLC and Audi Q5. Its all-wheel-drive version does zero to 60mph in 6.6 seconds, which is considerably lower than its competition.

6 2019 MKZ

The 2019 Lincoln MKZ has a unique, appealing design, but unfortunately, it doesn’t live up to its impressive looks, and quite frankly, it is a bit of a quandary. It shares a lot with the Ford Fusion, but with a heftier price tag. The 2019 MKZ offers a lot to prospective buyers.

For starters, there is a choice of two gas engines and a hybrid. The base engine is a 2L 4-cylinder turbo engine generating 245hp. There’s also a 3L V6 making 350hp (front-wheel-drive) and 400hp (All-wheel-drive). The MKZ offers plenty of luxury features, including a retractable glass roof, an 8-inch infotainment system, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay integration.

5 2020 Lincoln Continental

The 2020 Lincoln Continental is a modern-day version of a classic American land yacht with all the bells and whistles. It offers an amazing ride experience with spacious interiors and upscale style designs. The 2020 Continental comes with three different engine styles, all V6, two turbo-charged, either all-wheel or front-wheel. Its high spec version comes with a 3L turbocharged engine making 400hp and impeccable acceleration.

The downfall with this high luxury automobile is that is shares too many obvious pieces with cheaper Lincoln and Ford products, affecting its high-value image. It’s also fuel-hungry with worse ratings than some of its rivals like the Lexus LS500 and the Volvo S90.

4 2020 Lincoln Corsair

The 2020 Lincoln Corsair is Lincoln's project child to bring prestige back to the brand. The Corsair is expected to replace MKC for the 2020 model year. The 2020 Lincoln Corsair rivals BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Mercedes Benz GLC. Prospective owners have a choice of two turbocharged 4-cylinder engines; a 2L 250hp variant or a 2.3L 4-cylinder variant, both paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Its smaller engine version has an option of all-wheel or front-wheel drive systems. The 2.3L variant comes standard with all-wheel-drive. The 2020 Corsair has an impressive cabin right in line with SUV offerings such as soft leather trims and a ton of tech features.

3 2020 Lincoln Nautilus

The 2020 Lincoln Nautilus is a unique choice from the Lincoln lineup that offers distinct American flavor with a touch of Lincoln sedan styling from decades ago. Prospective owners should expect a plush drive experience, spacious interior that will satisfy owners seeking shade from gridlocked city traffic and crumbling roads.

The 2020 Nautilus comes with a 2L 4-cylinder engine that produces 250hp paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission with an option of front or all-wheel drive. The all-wheel variant of the Lincoln Nautilus does zero to 60mph in 6.8, which is quite impressive compared with its close competition.

2 2020 Lincoln Navigator

The 2020 Lincoln Navigator is Lincoln's grandest and largest model that comes with tons of chrome and seating space of up to eight. Common to the manufacturer, the 2020 Navigator shares some of its parts with lesser Lincoln models and Ford Expedition. However, it still offers the Navigator enough exclusive features to truly feel luxurious.

This grand model from Lincoln offers effortless acceleration and lofty towing capacity thanks to its V6 engine. The 2020 Navigator comes with a V-6 twin-turbo engine making 450hp. It offers the best combination of luxury and value with desirable features such as ventilated and heated seats, head-up display, as well as driver assistance technologies.

1 2020 Lincoln Aviator

The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is all new and redesigned, further emphasizing on Lincolns return to the vanguard of American luxury. It borrows quite a few features, design, and styling from its sibling the sedan Lincoln Continental and the refined Lincoln Navigator. The Lincoln Aviator comes with a 3L V-6 twin-turbo engine making 400hp, which is one of the most powerful standard engines on any mid-size luxury SUV. Its monster engine is paired to a 10-speed automatic engine.

The Aviator is available in both six and eight-seater configurations and 18 cubic feet of storage. It comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen. Prospective buyers should expect a top-end Revel Ultima 3D audio system with 28 speakers for a true high definition sound experience.
