Despite the ongoing popularity rise of the crossover SUV, the original family vehicle was the wagon. Designed to haul families and their associated paraphernalia, the wagon is a truly versatile body type. With wide opening tailgates, a boxy shape, and folding seats, these cars could be converted to van-like load luggers. With a standard ride height, wagons are also far more suitable for our tail-wagging friends, as they can simply jump into the back.

While some wagons may be branded drab and uninspiring, the 10 on our list are some of the best looking ever made.
