- According to S&P Global Mobility, luxury crossovers, and SUVs comprised almost 70% of the U.S. luxury vehicle segment. In today's era of electrification, luxury hybrid SUVs are great options for hybrid fans who want a more premium driving experience, or for SUV enthusiasts who aren't completely convinced of going full electric.
SUVs are currently the most popular passenger vehicles on the market, selling more units than sedans and hatches combined. The segment is so popular that automakers are simply adding lift kits to their existing hatchbacks and wagons to re-brand them as SUVs.
The luxury SUV craze began in the late 1990s with the introduction of the first-generation BMW X5, the first of the mid-size models to showcase luxury, performance, and build quality – three aspects previously only available in the higher-end sedans of the time. The segment soon gained momentum and Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and VW joined in with their own takes on the SUV.

According to S&P Global Mobility, luxury crossovers, and SUVs comprised almost 70% of the U.S. luxury vehicle segment. In today's era of electrification, luxury hybrid SUVs are great options for hybrid fans who want a more premium driving experience, or for SUV enthusiasts who aren't completely convinced of going full electric.
We've updated this list using cross-referenced vehicle reliability, maintenance, customer satisfaction, and pricing data from manufacturer websites, J.D. Power, Kelley Blue Book (KBB), Edmunds, and Consumer Reports (CR) to give you the 14 best luxury hybrid SUVs to buy in 2023.
Today, more than 20 years later, nearly every manufacturer produces an SUV and every premium carmaker has a luxury version. Even the fanciest manufacturers such as Rolls-Royce and Bentley have succumbed, including the traditional supercar makers of Ferrari and Lamborghini.
While most luxury SUVs feature big and powerful engines, automakers have added hybrid drivetrains to cut down on emissions and prolong the overall range per tank of fuel. Here are 14 of the best luxury hybrid SUVs to buy in 2023.
