Everyone wants to be the best in the world at something, even if that thing is totally dumb. If you don't believe me, check out all of these people that set world records for doing things related to cars. Some of them are gravity-defying feats that show incredible courage, others are things you would never have thought of before, and still, others are things you possibly might've thought of but you never ever would've tried because they're so ridiculous.

We do have to do the usual disclaimer, though—don't try this at home. If you have a beard, please don't put on a pair of rollerskates and tie your car to your beard and try to pull it down the road. I know it's tempting, but just don't. Also, whatever you do, don't try and balance your car on top of your head. Things might not work out all that well if you do. It's up to you, though; we aren't going to judge. Well, not much anyway. We might point and laugh just a little, though.

20 Longest Distance Jumped In A Ford Crown Victoria

Who wakes up in the morning and says to themselves, "I wonder how far I could jump a Crown Victoria?" Well, a guy named "Ryan Stock" did. He jumped one of these bad boys 130 feet. The Crown Victoria was mostly known for being a cop car back in the day. There's no telling whether that meant anything to Ryan or if he just happened to have a Crown Victoria laying around. Or maybe he was just an odd guy that wanted to do something weird to break a record. I'm betting on the last one.

19 Heaviest Car Ever Balanced On One's Head

It's hard to tell what's more interesting with this particular world record—how a person balances a car on his head or why a person would possibly want to balance a car on his head. Okay, we have to admit the car itself was gutted, so it weighed only 357 pounds when the record was set.

This was the third time that this man named "John Evans" had broken his own record.

Obviously, John needs some new hobbies. How would he ever think of doing something like this in the first place?

18 Most Cars Doing Donuts At Once

If there's one thing that's for certain, it's that donuts are fun. Whether you're eating them in the morning or doing them on the road in your car, there's no doubt that donuts are a good time. You know whom you don't have to convince of that? The Latvian Drift Association. They set the record in 2012 with 107 of them doing donuts all at the same time. Apparently, these dudes know how to party. I can't even imagine knowing over 100 dudes who all think it's a good time to do donuts all at once.

17 Most Parking Tickets By One Car In One Time Frame

It sure is a drag getting parking tickets. It's the type of thing that no one likes to see on his or her windshield, and if you don't have the right attitude about it, it can ruin your whole day. Imagine being Jennifer Fitzgerald. Her angry ex-boyfriend had registered a car under her name and dumped it in an airport parking lot in Chicago.

Over time, she got 678 tickets totalling over $100,000, and for some reason, she never got towed.

Now that's a parking ticket bill that'll make you sad.

Everyone likes to brag about that one car that they had that just kept running and didn't quit. You might know someone that's had a car that made it to 200,000 or 300,000 miles. Well, a high school teacher named "Irvin Gordon" has a car, a 1966 Volvo P1800, that has made it over 3 million miles. It's still rolling, too. He recently posted on Facebook, "Mileage update, 3,250,257 ... and still rolling." That is absolutely insane and is one record in this article that really's something to shoot for.

If we know you—and we definitely think that we do—you probably are sitting on your couch right now thinking about harnessing yourself to a totally heavy vehicle, putting on some roller skates, and seeing how far you could pull it. An Indian named "Kapil Gehlot" decided this would be a good way to spend his days or maybe even his entire life. This kind of thing takes training, you know. Which is actually pretty sad. Anyway, he pulled a two-ton vehicle while wearing roller skates, which, you know, gives you something to strive for.

14 Tightest Parallel Park Job

This one is actually kind of cool. There are only two kinds of people in the world: those who can parallel park and those that can't. Those that can tend to be cool people and rather successful. Those that can't, well, you're pretty awful. So, you know who's cool? Han Yue of China.

He parked in a spot that was only 5.91 inches longer than his Mini Cooper, The previous record was 8.66 in.

I have to say that's super impressive and at least has some slight real-world connotations. We all need to park.

Some of these records are beyond reason. How do they happen anyway? Have you ever checked out a Toyota Corolla sitting by the side of the road and thought to yourself, "Man, I really feel like lifting that a bunch of times"? Most people that drive cars have a fantasy, at least of some sort of going on an epic road trip. Maybe your dream is to drive across country, or maybe you want to drive over the border and visit other countries, too. In 2014, four people got together and visited 18 countries, all within 24 hours. That sounds kind of cooler than it is. Don't you think it would've been more fun to enjoy themselves a tad? But I guess that's what world records are all about—doing something silly that no one else has ever done.

One of my pet peeves as a driver is people doing U-turns. Like, come on... just go around the corner maybe? So, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed seeing Alex Jerden set his world record.

He managed to complete 21 U-turns, all within 2 minutes.

If you want, you can find the video of him doing this, but I have to warn you—it's about as exciting as watching paint dry. But you know, Alex did set a world record, so he has that going for him. Not all heroes wear capes after all.

This one is just plain old odd. How would you ever think of doing this? It's odd enough to try to pull a car, it's even odder to try and pull a car while you're on roller skates, but to pull a car on rollerskates with your beard is about as odd as anything you can imagine. But hey... a record is a record. A man named "Kapil Gehlot" used his beard to pull a car 226 feet. We imagine his beard was sore the next day. Is that a thing? Can beards get sore? I know one thing for sure: I'm not going to find out.

Do you want to see a totally slow spin out using rear-wheel drive? In fact, so slow that it sets a record? Well, you can watch it on recordsetter.com. A man named "Olof Eriksson" completed a 360-degree spin out using a rear-wheel-drive car in 6.24 seconds. How does this even become a record in the first place? This is one that I think is beatable. If I were you, I'd go outside and start doing the longest spin out as possible and have your friends time you. Sure, it might sound boring, but come on... What else do you have to do?

8 Heaviest Vehicle Pulled Over 100 Feet

This is just plain old strongman stuff. Back in the day, this would've seemed super odd, but not in the days of men pulling things using their beards while they're on roller skates.

Reverend Kevin Fast of Ontario, Canada pulled a 125,680-pound truck 100 feet, which one has to admit is pretty impressive.

This dude doesn't look like someone that cares a whole lot about riding around on roller skates, but if he does, it's cool with me. Who wants to tell this guy he's wrong?

Can you imagine drifting for 50 miles? I know I can't, but that's exactly what one record holder did. A man named "Addo Feghali" did a continuous drift on a constantly watered skid track for a total of 51.3 miles. The person who held the record before him hadn't even done 10 miles. The mind totally boggles with this one. Drifting for 51 miles? Is this guy a robot? I know I get dizzy just going on the Tilt-A-Whirl at the county fair. This is one record that's insane—but also a tad impressive.

6 Longest Time Driving In A Roundabout

Do you know the difference between a rotary and a roundabout? Well, I do, but I'm not going to tell you for one simple reason: because no one cares. Well, one person does. A man named "Oran Sands" drove around a roundabout in Carmel, Indiana for three hours, 34 minutes, 33.24 seconds. He ended up going around 65 miles. This is a record that pretty much anyone could break, but no one wants to drive around in a roundabout for that long. Or a rotary, for that matter.

5 Most Used Cars Sold By One Salesman In A Year

Selling cars is one of those things. It seems kind of easy, but when it comes right down to it, not a lot of people can do it well enough to make a living. One person that can is Don Diamond. In 2009, he sold 540 cars in one year, which was a record. That comes out to almost one and a half per day. This is one of those things.

This guy is either the most honest car salesman in the world or the biggest liar.

With sales like that, it's pretty unlikely there's much in between. That's a lot of cars!

4 Smallest Road-Legal Car

These days, small cars are all the rage. While there will always be a market for big cars, more and more people are going small. Not this small, though. The "Wind Up" is a car made by Perry Watkins of the UK in 2009. It's 41 inches tall, 26 inches wide, and 52 inches long. While this doesn't seem like a lot of fun to drive, at least you wouldn't have to worry much about parking it. In fact, you wouldn't need a garage. When you got home, you could just put it in your closet.

On the other end of the spectrum from super small cars are ones that are so large that it's amazing. One of these is this 100-foot long limo that has 26 wheels. Okay, so obviously, there can be some pretty good parties going on in this ride, but calling it a "ride" might be a bit presumptuous.

This thing seems way more likely to be parked than actually going anywhere.

Can you imagine taking a right turn in this bad boy? I would just invite people over and leave it in park.

2 Tallest Loop The Loop Completed

Don't read on if you get motion sickness. This isn't Hot Wheels, a game that you play with your toy cars. This is real.  Rally driver Tanner Foust and Hollywood stunt driver Greg Tracy did a double 66-foot tall loop the loop to set the world's record. I only have one question. Why? Just even looking at a photo of that makes me feel kind of ill. I'm glad there are people like those two in the world, though. That way, there's no pressure on me to do anything like that.

1 Most Frozen Turkeys Fit Into A Ford

It doesn't happen very often, but occasionally, someone sets a world record that actually helps people and isn't just totally silly.  This was the case when Sean Click fit 183 frozen turkeys into a Ford Fusion and delivered them to a food bank. Way to go, Sean. You set a world record and fed the homeless all at the same time. Now, if only then you had pulled the car with all the frozen turkeys in it to the homeless shelter using your beard. Now that would've been impressive.
