A review of the Volkswagen Tiguan in terms of sales will show it has been the VW Group's overall leader. This is thanks to a handful of VW-ish innovation and abilities. Here's a Tiguan study created by a Volkswagen enthusiast and car collector that shows the adventurous side of the compact crossover—meet the Tiguan SE R-Line Black RiNo Concept.
Latest Member Of 2021 Enthusiast Fleet
The VW Tiguan SE R-Line Black RiNo Concept is the latest addition to Volkswagen's 2021 Enthusiast Fleet family. Named after the Riverside North arts district in downtown Denver, Colorado, the Tiguan SE R-Line Black RiNo Concept was designed by Jamie Orr in cooperation with various aftermarket partners. It's basically an outgoing Tiguan draped with available juicy aftermarket elements.
Boasting a black exterior, the Tiguan SE R-Line Black RiNo Concept is a one-of-a-kind model that's designed to demonstrate the versatility and agility of the compact crossover both on the city streets and sinuous backroads. Thus, you can see its carrying a gloss black carbon fiber Alpine Trail 2 bike on the rear, thanks to a Thule T1 bike rack that could mount up to 1,500 lbs with its 1.25” receiver.
An Exterior Ready For The Outdoor
Orr also made several changes to the exterior. For instance, the concept rides on matte anthracite Rotiform OZR 20×10.5” wheels (with black hexagonal center caps) shod with 285-mm Continental SportContact 5P tires that are 50 mm wider than usual. The compact crossover now rides lower thanks to height adjustable coilover suspension from Solo-Werks. Braking power comes from performance 6-piston Big Brake Kit calipers and increased diameter front brake rotors from Forge Motorsport USA.
The VW Tiguan SE R-Line Black RiNo Concept also features black Tiguan Aluminum Side Steps, an aftermarket front lip and three rear spoilers: one on the trunk lid; an extended factory spoiler; and third aftermarket rear spoiler. The concept also dons a custom Borla exhaust system with matching gloss black quad tips.
Interior Modified For An Adventurous Lifestyle
The interior also sports several mods. The Dock & Hook Combination Base has been modified to hold a bicycle helmet in cargo area. The interior features a massive LED lightbar and a built-in air compressor (for bikes and cars). Furthermore, the VW Tiguan SE R-Line Black RiNo Concept sports a CNC-made shift knob and an Alcantara-wrapped shift boot from Black Forest Industries of North Carolina.
