Ever since his breakout single "Austin" hit the airwaves in 2001, American Country Singer and Television Star Blake Shelton rode a string of successes to become a staple in Nashville and across the country. With his folksy charm, entrepreneurial exploits, and beautiful partner and co-judge on the hit show "The Voice," Blake has truly become a one-man marketing machine. He's long been a supporter of our troops and a faithful NASCAR fan and friend of several drivers, Clint Bowyer in particular. So we weren't at all surprised when Blake hopped in Clint's NASCAR stock car for a little rip.

3 The Ride

Blake recently attended the Burnout on Broadway event in Nashville, Tennessee to showcase all 16 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoff drivers and their rides. The event gives the public a chance to check out their favorite drivers, and their cars, and see them - you guessed it - do burnouts under the neon lights of Broadway in downtown Nashville. Since Blake and Clint have long been friends, the country star got a chance to fulfill a lifelong dream and get a ride in a NASCAR stock car.

Blake hopped into Clint's Stewart-Haas Racing Number 14 Ford-powered 800 hp car and immediately strapped himself in. Clint gunned the motor and took off down the street laying rubber the whole way. To say that Blake enjoyed himself is an understatement - he was grinning from ear to ear. He did however wonder, "why is this thing shaking so bad?" Don't worry Blake, they all do that. It is a racing car after all!

No word on whether or not Gwen was in attendance but I'm sure she would have been cheering from the sidelines. If you'd like to see the two of them in action, check out NBC's "The Voice." Buckle up.
