Best Colors On The Modern Ram
Ram has been the most expressive on its most recent iteration of its trucks that started in the 2019 model year. Ram has made sure that its trucks stand out in the best way. On one hand, they ensure that the color scheme communicates the exquisite luxury some trims of the Ram offer. On higher trims of the Ram like the Limited Longhorn which can be optioned with a two-tone paint job. The upper section receives an ivory white color while the lower portions of the doors and bumper are painted in a rich walnut brown. Last time we checked, this wasn’t a Maybach, but it still rocks the two-tone paint. We’ll take it.
On the other hand, Ram uses some very bright colors on its high-performance variants like the Hellcat-powered Ram TRX. For the 2022 model year, Ram announced the Ignition Edition for the TRX which paints it in a bright orange. This color may come across as polarizing at first but works very well in contrasting with the dark plastic accents in areas such as the grille. Other colors like the flat cement gray are not nearly as bold but still conveys that the TRX is as hardcore as trucks come.
Best Ram Color Of Yesteryear
Cool colors for the Ram haven’t been solely reserved for the newest models. Even much earlier on there were still colors that only improved the Ram’s credibility. But there is one color that stand out among the rest. This color would be the bright candy red that came on the 2004-2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10. This Ram was the version that sported the same 8.4-liter V10 engine as the Viper. To make the connection between the two vehicles, Dodge decided to paint them in the same iconic red. There were other colors offered but most examples you’ll find on the street of the Ram SRT-10 will be in this red because it represented the truck the best.
To get bold enough of a color, many truck owners have resorted to using a paint shop to get the perfect shade. This isn’t always necessary with trucks like Rams since they offer essentially the whole rainbow and more in colors straight from the factory. We commend Ram’s commitment to being bold and showing that its trucks can rock more than just black and white.
