So far, Tesla has been dominating the high-end electric vehicle market. But now more luxury or high-end American electric start-up companies are about to join them, such as Rivian and Lucid Motors. Over in Europe, the traditional car companies are now beginning to pump out numerous high-end electric vehicles, and among them are Jaguar and BMW.

Jaguar already has its I-Pace on the market while BMW is soon to release its new iX series. For Jaguar, the I-Pace is its first fully electric car and yet it ambitiously intends to go fully electric by 2025, so one can expect them to be investing heavily in EVs over the next few years. The I-Pace and the iX are two of Europe's best high-end SUVs, but which is better?

10 BMW iX xDrive 50 - Range

The BMW iX xDrive 50 has the more impressive range with some 315 EPA miles (or 300 miles depending on the source) on a single charge. Either of those distances is better than the Jaguar I-Pace EV400 with its EPA range of 225 or 246 miles — again depending on the source.

If you are intending on doing long-distance driving, then the range is likely to be a very significant concern. And the range advantage of the BMW iX over the Jaguar is considerable.
