Khyzyl Saleem is one of the best digital car renderers out there. His creations have amazing details on them and are works of art, and he of course recently did a special video series for Hagerty showcasing his work.

His latest piece of artistry is something else entirely. Saleem has rendered what he calls the “inversion occurrence M1,” the BMW M1, in a spectacular color scheme on some amazing Rotiform wheels to help it stand out among other M1s.

Examining The Kyza’s M1

The first thing our eyes are instantly drawn to with this car is the extraordinary livery that it is in. The main body color for this stunning car is the deep black, which stretches across most of the front and the rear. But what also stands out are the stripes, in yellow, purple and turquoise. These run across the middle part of the body of the car. There is good reason for Saleem doing this, as he has taken a bit of a twist on the traditional BMW M colors. We, of course, know those as various shades of blue with red.

There is an element of good timing for Saleem’s rendering here, as 2022 is marking 50 years of BMW’s M division, which is also having its own celebration at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The new take on the BMW M colors is certainly striking, and thanks to their bright nature, they pop out among the bodywork of the M1. This is before though we even get into some of the bodywork details and modifications that Saleem has added to this incredible car.

Our eyes are instantly drawn to the splitter and widebody modifications at the front of the M1. Racing versions of the M1 would have the bigger splitter on the front of the car, and this has that, but they wouldn’t have had the extra large wheel fenders at the front and the rear.

The exterior changes are beautifully capped off with the incredible Rotiform BM1 wheel designs at the front and the rear. And they look as if they are on some pretty big and hefty tires. The back of the car remains mostly unchanged bar the fenders, but looks sensational in that deep black.
