Hard to believe but the new G82 BMW M4 clocks in at a year old. To kick things off, it had a rather tumultuous start with much attention drawn to the obnoxiously large kidney grille. Divisive at first, now accepted and perhaps even liked by enthusiasts. Hitting 60mph in less than 4 seconds, with rear-wheel drive an option and in the non-competition car a manual gearbox, this car marks the end of the line for BMWs like this. Likely the last non-hybrid BMW M car, a swansong to a well-loved era of motoring.

Keen to get in on the act tuners now have had time to get their hands on the latest M4. Adding their entry to the latest custom M4 options. Hamann has extensive experience with BMW models. The company offers parts for everything from the almighty X5 M, and 8 Series to the 3 Series Touring. Their products result in unique-looking examples of BMW's high-selling cars. Harmann provides the aggressive look that BMW's M Performance after-market parts do. But as a smaller supplier that won't be most owner's default option, Hamann's latest offerings will make your M4 stand out in the crowd of BMW M cars. Coupled with a slight boost in power Hamann's take on the M4 looks more angular, fresher and matches the aesthetic of the large kidney grille.

Hamann's packages of.parts add extra sporting aggression to BMW's 2022 Sports Car.

Hamann

Hamann's parts aren't exactly show stoppers, what they do is offer subtle upgrades to a car's aesthetic. Essentially this comes as the perfect solution for the M4 owner that wants a little more street presence, and a bit more of a custom look for Instagram but does not ruin their daily driving capability. BMW offers a range of M Performance parts encompassing carbon fiber pieces for bumpers and spoilers. Hamann takes this further. The customizers offer front and roof spoilers. A more aggressive, supercar-inspired rear diffuser and rear winglets. As well as a sport rear silencer with the trademark 4 tailpipes of the modern BMW M car.

The company's adjustments don't end here. Hamann offers various 21-inch wheel sets. These include matt black and graphite, hyper silver, and black in three different styles. Vision offers a futuristic look with a 10-spoke design. Anniversary a more classical design and challenge, a more race-inspired look. According to Hamann, all of these cost approaching €12,000 which roughly equates to the same amount in United States Dollars. With a 30 mm drop in ride height, Hamann completes a more aggressive aesthetic, that has bit more of a twist to it than the run of the mill M Performance after market parts.

Change On The Inside Of The BMW Is Minimal

Hamann

Hamann and their competitors like the unbelievable Mansory, a specialist is Lamborghini and Mercedes. and Manhart rarely change much on the inside of the vehicle. A lot harder and more expensive to customize, and where other road users, car enthusiasts, and the public can't see how flashy it is, there isn't much demand. After all the interiors in the current crop of M models offer more than an adequate luxury. But Hamann does install a crest on the center console, a new aluminum black anodized pedals and footrest, and Hamann's unique floor mats. So the interior sees subtle hints towards the outside.

The company also doesn't change much in regard to performance. While the company does offer tuning options. They offer very little in the M4 Competition. With 510 horsepower the car only has a few more than the standard Competition's 503 horsepower. Arguably 7 extra horsepower for the M4 will see very little change with regard to performance, after all this is a gain of just 1.3%. Very little when according to Dahler Tuning, with only a modest ECU tune power jumps up to over 600 horsepower.

Currently, in the Hamann showroom a customized 320D touring costs around €60,000. Not an extortionate amount for a customer BMW. However, if a customer goes through all the options on the list that Hamann offer they'll get quite the shock when it comes to the bill. With the €12,000 set of wheels, €2,000 for each spoiler. The complete diffuser costs over 1,000 Euro and the same again for the footrest and pedals, this adds a significant amount to the sticker price of a new M4 Competition.

The M4 Competition coupe for 2023 starts at $79,995. Adding the complete Hamann package takes this to around the $100,000 mark. Not awful but that put you firmly into Porsche 911 territory. While this package might come as precisely what you are looking for as an M4 owner who got a little bored with their car or want it to stand out amongst the other BMWs. But a reason to buy M Performance's popular model, perhaps not. Hamann's latest offering of parts for BMWs offer customers the option to make their M4 truly theirs and express their preferences for the car.
