Yes, it all starts with that big V8! It's what makes the Boss Hoss series of bikes and trikes unique after all. And these are not just any detuned engines from the junkyard but built up high performance small blocks. The mildest engine offered is a Chevy 383 with 430 hp and 450 lb.-ft. of torque. Or you can step up to a 376 cubic inch GM LS3 with 445 hp and and an equal amount of torque.

Not enough for you?! At the top rung of the ladder is a small block based 454 with 563 hp and 545 lb.-ft. of torque! That would be a lot in a car but in a bike that weighs in at about 1,000 lbs. even it's just crazy. That means the top engine has a power to weight ratio of just under two pounds per hp!

Whatever engine you choose is mated to a 2-speed semi-auto transmission with reverse, 63mm adjustable front forks with 3.5” of travel, and dual 13.0 coil over shocks in the rear. The Super Sport has a beefy 4 piston caliper up front and a single two-piston floating caliper out back. It's fitted with a 130/90-16, 3.5” x 16.0” rim and tire in front and a massive 300/35-18, 10.0” x 18.0″ unit in the rear. The gas tank holds 8.5 gallons and with that thirsty motor you'll probably still need to fuel up all the time.

Highway Star

On the road the bike is remarkably smooth and well balanced. And while you'd expect all that heft to be a chore to corral, the mass itself and cylinder count leads to a placid riding experience. That's probably what has led to the Boss Hoss' cult following and the high number of repeat customers. If you're interested in the Super Sport or one of their other bikes they have several in their inventory right now. Buckle up.
