When most gearheads think of a ultra-rare, million-dollar Mercedes, the iconic 300SL "Gullwing" probably comes to mind. Or maybe, if they prefer some of the Gullwing's successors, that famous SLR McLaren driven by Paris Hilton with Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears in the passenger seat. But fewer will think of perhaps the rarest Benz ever built, the enormous and completely absurd G63 AMG 6x6. Now, one of these 6x6 G-Wagens made even more extreme thanks to modifications by Brabus looks set to climb even higher than a current $1.1 million bid before it closes in a few hours on the auction website Bring a Trailer.

So Much More Than A Normal G-Wagen

The seller, Silver Arrow Cars Ltd, posted a photo showing just how massive a G63 6x6 looks next to a "normal" G-Wagen. With true six-wheel drive thanks to five electronically locking differentials, plus 18-inch beadlock wheels, and portal axles a la the tough-as-nails Unimog, this 4.5-ton truck boasts 18 inches of ground clearance and even a central tire inflation system just in case any of its six shoes goes flat.

Brabus Upgrades To The Twin-Turbo V8

Surprisingly, Mercedes and Magna Steyr, which actually built the approximately 100 G-Wagen 6x6s based on German military vehicles, decided not to employ a massive V12 engine. Instead, a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter AMG V8 under the hood would have produced 536 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque. But the Brabus B63S 700 enhancements included machining the turbocharger housings, installing large compressor wheels, high-flow intake and exhaust components, and even gold heat-reflective wrapping on the charged air pipes. The result notches output up to a much more reasonable 700 horses and 708 lb-ft of torque.

Black And White Hexagonal Quilted Leather For Good Measure

That grunt gets sent to all six wheels through a seven-speed automatic and a dual-range transfer case. Those diffs come with a standard 30:40:30 split when all left unlocked. The interior, meanwhile, looks uber-luxurious with black and white hexagonal quilted leather, plenty of Brabus badging, and carbon-fiber accents abounding.

Speculations in the comments section suggest this truck might have belonged to social media personality Dan Bilzerian, though his truck sported a Brabus front badge rather than the Mercedes logo. Presumably, a Kardashian or Jenner will win the auction and end up piloting this beast around Calabasas, though they'll be limited to only 2,500 miles per year due to the "Show and Display" import exemption used to title this rarer-than-a-Gullwing Benz in the United States.
