The 2020 Smart Fortwo EQ cabrio is indeed a chic open-top pocket rocket. While this city car is designed for the urban jungle, some may find it lacking some sportiness both in power and style. So, if you’re looking for such an attribute in an a Smart Fortwo, the new Brabus Ultimate E Facelift could be the most ideal drive for you. Let’s check it out.

To make the Ultimate E more powerful than the Smart Fortwo EQ cabrio, Brabus developed a new power boost for the city car’s three-phase synchronous motor. Dubbed the Brabus PowerXtra Performance Upgrade, this boost hikes the electric motor’s output and torque especially when the Ultimate E Facelift is placed under the "Sport +" program.

In the standard mode, the Brabus Ultimate E provides the same level of output and torque as the Smart Fortwo EQ cabrio at 80 hp and 118 lb.-ft. But when the driver picks the “Sport+” driving mode, the city car roars to 92 hp of max output and 132 lb.-ft. of peak of torque. Its sprint time from zero to 62 mph also improves to around 10.9 seconds. Its top speed is restricted at 81 mph.

Among this is the fitment of the Brabus Widestar bodyshell only exclusive to the Brabus Ultimate special series. Finished in black (other colors can be specified), the Ultimate E gains the redesigned Brabus front apron as well as a couple of red highlights.
