Just recently, we reviewed Brand New Muscle Cars' Vintage Chevy Pickup Truck Replica. We liked both its commitment to originality and blending restomod touches with innovative features and creature comforts. But the Oklahoma based specialty vehicle manufacturer, restorer and custom body shop offers several other replicas, restomods and vintage cars and trucks for customization and sale right now.

Based on the 1967 to 69 Chevrolet Camaro, the Yenko Super Camaro (YSC) was a specially prepared Camaro put together by Yenko Chevrolet to the particular tastes of dealership owner and ex-racer Don Yenko himself. It ranks as one of those ultra rare examples out of muscle car lore up there with names like COPO, ZL-1, and etc. Let's see the Brand New Muscle Cars replica of this muscle car classic and if it deserves to bear the Yenko name.

The BNMC Yenko Camaro

The original Yenko Camaro was ordered as an L78 equipped SS Camaro with a Corvette L72 427, 12 bolt posi with 4.10 gears, and a racing derived suspension. They were fitted with Muncie M-21 "Rock Crusher" 4-speed manual transmissions. A mild graphics package was added along with a fiberglass hood to save weight. Horsepower was rated at 450 but dyno testing revealed those figures to be quite low.

Just Like The Original

BNMC's 1969 Yenko 427 Camaro S/C starts with either an all-new Dynacorn replacement body strengthened in key areas or an original body stripped, cleaned and restored depending on the condition. Several color combos are offered with a virtually unlimited number of engine, performance and stylistic options depending on customer taste. As for me, I'd keep it as old-school as possible while just trying to shed a little weight here and there and put some restomod touches all around to just enhance without detracting what is one of the best muscle cars ever made.

Slick Looking And Fast
