Currently listed on the site is this rather awesome 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 426 Hemi, one of just 287 Hemi Dodge Challenger R/T hardtops produced in 1970. It was acquired by the current owner in March 2020 and is located in San Antonio, Texas.

What Features Does This 1970 Dodge Challenger Have?

via Bring A Trailer

Everyone loves a Dodge Challenger, and perhaps Hemi versions in particular. The car is finished in Bright Blue, a repaint of the original color that the car left the factory with. It was ordered with the body-side stripe deleted, giving it an all-over blue finish. The Challenger has a sport hood that features air intakes with “426 Hemi” badging on them, which, of course, references the engine. Another cool exterior feature is the bright-finished fuel-filler flap and dual color-keyed outside mirrors. It's certainly a very eye-catching exterior aesthetic.

The interior is predominately black. There are high bucket seats upholstered in pleated black vinyl, and divided by a beautiful woodgrain-accented center console, original to a 1971 Challenger. There is a console-mounted shifter and crank windows as well, and the driver's seat is adjustable six-ways, allowing for all sorts of comfortable driving positions, no matter who the driver is. And there is a classic three-spoke steering wheel with a wood rim and even a factory AM radio.

What About The Powertrain?

Finally, there is the powertrain itself. Of course, this car is powered by a 426-cubic inch Hemi V8 that is fed by two four-barrel Carter AFB carburetors. Factory rated, the engine produced 425 bhp. What’s impressive is that the stoke intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, and air cleaner are all retained. And all that great V8 power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
