The Bugatti and Rimac joint venture is the most ambitious news we have heard recently. The fusion of Bugatti's rich history and Rimac's cutting-edge technology is sure to churn out some mental machines. More impressive is the fact that Rimac CEO - Mate Rimac is the one leading this new joint venture. It was a few months ago that Bugatti, Rimac, and Porsche joined hands to share tech and expertise.

So expect the all-electric versions of Porsche 911s to be segment disrupters. But for now, Mate Rimac has a 27-second-long new year wish and surprise for us. He shares a short snap of the future of Bugatti Rimac and things already look eye-popping from under the curtains. There are chances of a continuation model, the much-anticipated successor of Bugatti Chiron, and the supposed promised production model of Bugatti Bolide.

The first car from Bugatti-Rimac Joint Venture could break cover this year.

Bugatti Rimac Has Some Bold Plans For The Future

Mate Rimac is an ambitious man who likes to keep things subtle. The Rimac Nevera is a prime example as it looks too subtle to be a car with over 1,900 horses! Purpose and functionality are what get the first cut when it comes to Rimac offerings. Now, being in charge of a 133-year-old luxury automaker like Bugatti is no small feat.

On top of that, he has been entrusted with the Herculean task to make a worthy successor to the Bugatti Chiron. While an all-electric Chiron-successor seems to be a far-fetch, we suspect the next hypercar with a Bugatti badge to pack a hybrid setup. Mr. Rimac teases us with a rather interesting picture showcasing the past, present, and future of Bugatti and Rimac.

A minimalistic image was shown in the video that gives us a peek at the iconic models from both Bugatti and Rimac. A Type 35, the Royale, and the iconic Type 575C Atlantic were packed at the left corner. Then comes the present bundle of hyper machines from Bugatti, like the Veyron and the Chiron. Rimac's mind-blowing cars like the Concept-One and Nevera also stood by the Bugattis.

On the rightmost corner is the most fascinating bunch but under curtains. These four cars will be the future of Bugatti-Rimac and include some intriguing design cues. One looks like a classic, most likely a continuation model based on the Bugatti Type 356. We can expect it to be a bold new EV with classic clothing.

Next up is most probably the successor of Bugatti Chiron, as we can see the signature horseshoe-shaped grille forming underneath. A third car looks track-spec with a huge rear wing, which seems to be hinting at the production model of Bugatti Bolide that was showcased in 2021. The final and fourth model is barely visible as the frame jumps out of the image. And so, that remains a surprise.
