They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, the picture above can only depict exactly one scenario. A Colorado State Patrol car, red and blue lights ablaze, parked behind 10 new Porsche cars and SUV's by the side of a mountain road is usually indicative of folks running afoul of the law and not a friendly, roadside pow wow. Sure enough, the picture was tweeted by the Colorado law enforcement agency to not just underline the fact that reckless speed is unwelcome and punished in the Centennial State, but also as a sort of a badge of honor for the impressive haul for the  trooper(s) involved.

The picture shows a mouthwatering array of almost every new Porsche vehicle, including the new electric Taycan. The circumstances of the situation are not quite clear. The tweet mentions that the roughly 2-million dollar supercar caravan was traveling at speeds of over 80 mph in the 40 mph section of a highway, and all were subsequently cited for it. The response on Social Media, while predominantly positive and thankful to the agency for their diligence, also included some detractors. A number of responders were unimpressed by the mass citations handed out, and a few even mocked the agency by demonstrating their own scofflaw ways with speedometer photos, etc depicting outrageously illegal speeds. A tweet even disputed the speeds of the cars in the photo, and stated that this was a regular Porsche Corporate event and that most of the tickets were for speeds in the 50's in a 40.

The moral of the story remains that due diligence is the name of the game if you are going to be flaunting highway speed limits in your mega horsepower supercar (or SUV). Safety in numbers was apparently a mere illusion on this stretch of highway in Colorado, and a very expensive one.
