Go Big Or Go Home
Cadillac is now, for the first time ever, offering a V badge on their Escalade, and this has our presenter jumping for joy. He tells us straight away that this truck/SUV/ tank has a starting price of $150,000 and has a supercharged V8 producing 682 hp. This transfer of power gets sent to factory 22-inch rims, while the sound of this monster engine gets blown out through a quad exhaust tip system.
These engines also showcase something quite special that was, up to this point, only displayed on very high-end performance cars, he tells us. There is a plaque which he shows us at the 4:39 mark, which shows the name of the engineer who assembles the engine. In this case, Morgan Beachboard whom our presenter thanks for doing such an amazing job.
Mind-Blowing Technology On This Escalade
The interior of the Escalade is exactly what you would expect for an SUV that costs as much as it does. Our presenter gets into the driver's seat at the 7:10 mark and brings the car to life. The first thing one notices is that the gloss black dash is actually a screen that encases another screen, which is the instrument cluster. This is a 38-inch curved OLED display, and is unlike anything we've seen to date. On this screen, we can view different options such as night vision and augmented reality GPS, which essentially takes the image from the camera in front of the truck and adds GPS navigation information to that.

The Sounds Of Paradise
Our presenter rambles throughout the video about the exhaust on the truck. Tells us repeatedly that he has never heard anything that sounds quite like this truck, and at the 16:21 mark we finally get that chance to see what the focus is about.
After warning us that he does not want to blow up the camera, he starts the truck up to a glorious symphony of American V8 gurgles and grunts. Our host chuckles in response to the noise, and in all fairness this is the most appropriate reaction, as this really is the best sounding SUV we have ever heard. Cadillac is still King in the luxury market. Elvis would be proud.
