Everyone loves a good drag racing video. Two cars head-to-head along a simple piece of tarmac is fantastic viewing. One of the best outlets for this is the Drag Racing and Car Stuff YouTube channel. The channel posts some brilliant drag racing content and this video is no exception. What we see here is a 1,000 hp Cadillac CTS-V taking on all sorts of rivals at the 2022 Cadillac Attack 2022 event, and showing them what it's got.
A True Monster Of A Cadillac
This Cadillac is a true monster, specifically it is Felicia Cherisse Smith’s 2009 Cadillac CTS-V which has the nickname, Rocket. Under the hood of this car is a Dart SHP 427 block engine, with a Built 6I90 transmission. To get some of that extra horsepower, the Cadillac also has a ported 1.90-liter LSA supercharger.
The first drag race we see Rocket in is up against another Cadillac CTS-V. Rocket is the orange car, and it leaves its rival for dust with a 147.92 mph top speed and a pass in 9.207 seconds. Its rival managed a 133.30 mph top speed and a 10.485 second pass.
Taking On Those Who Dare To Challenge
Taking on this monstrous car is something few will want to do. Its next rival looks like a CTS-V station wagon, and once again it has no chance against the 1,000 Hp CTS-V. Rocket completes the run in a remarkable 9.209 seconds with a top speed of 148.40 mph, with the wagon doing it in 11.311 seconds at 121.05 mph. Another day dawns, and it's another CTS-V drag race. This time it is much closer, with Rocket losing out. Rocket did the run in 9.034 seconds, the rival CTS-V beating it with an 8.908 second run.
Taking On A Chevrolet Rival
After completing a pass on its own, the CTS-V next goes up against something very different. A Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. This has the potential to be its toughest rival yet. The two cars get off the line very evenly, and they stay close right until the end of the run. Rocket did it in 9.062 seconds, the ZL1 in 9.654 seconds. The last clip shows Rocket go against yet another CTS-V, and this is a fantastic race. Both cars are ultra-close for the ¼ mile, but Rocket this time loses. It did the 1/4 mile in 9.075 seconds at a speed of 149.81 mph, while its rival managed an 8.741 second pass at 156.90 mph.
