In the world of custom classic cars, there's a really fine line between the wannabees and those who are the real deal. It's fair to say that Mark Towle, the star from Car Masters: Rust To Riches on Netflix is the real deal, and he's got the credentials to prove it. Towle's slogan speaks volumes about his capabilities; "If you can dream it, I can build it." It is indeed a bold statement, but judging by the cars we've seen emerge from his shop, Gotham Garage, he certainly backs it up.

Updated August 2021: If you're a fan of Mark Towle and Car Masters: Rust To Riches, you'll be happy to know that we've updated this article with the latest information about Towle's cars and some of the work that's been put into them.

In fact, another reason why we're inclined to believe him is because his project portfolio is vaster than even he can remember. Towle and his crew at Gotham Garage handcraft remarkable custom cars. From an exact replica of the famous Munsters Coach to a 1:1 scale replica of the original Batmobile from the Adam West TV show, there's not much in the custom car scene that this man hasn't done.

So what do you reckon a man with these kinds of car mod credentials uses as his daily driver? Well, obviously, it must be something truly crazy.

Let's look at what Netflix superstar Mike Towle is driving today.

Leave it to Mark Towle to find a way to make something truly unique with a car that's already been modified to perfection and done to death by everybody else. We've seen pretty much every possible modification imaginable on a classic Mustang, but somehow, Towle managed to come up with something unique. This bulging, angry car's red on black paint scheme is absolutely evil, and we think it looks better than any color options available on any of the modern Mustangs.

Then there's the spider web front grille and the giant red emblem in the nose that helps separate this classic Mustang from your average run-of-the-mill project car. Of course, it features a new set of wheels, and these rims have that classic look, except they're much larger than what you'd normally find on a classic Mustang. To finish the exterior off nicely, he fitted running lights into the front spoiler — just another aspect of Towles's brilliance.

Now, let's take a look at a project truck that Mike Towle himself worked on and daily drove before putting it up for sale. We're not sure if this vehicle was originally a Ford or a Chevrolet. As it sits now, it looks more like a painted slab of American iron with one wheel at each corner. The bed is hand made out of wood, as is the rear trunk that sits behind the bed.

Beautiful red leather on the inside and spider web accents on exterior trim pieces definitely let you know this was a Mark Towle project. Towle put this one up for sale for a meager $80 thousand, and that's not too off-putting to be honest, especially for someone who is looking for a truly unique, one of a kind vehicle for their collection. Sure, it probably isn't the most reliable thing in the world, but that's not what it was built for anyway. This is a piece of automotive art that's built to be admired.
