How would you like to modify your Subaru so that instead of squirting wiper fluid on your windshield it actually squirts juice right into your mouth?

We’ve seen some ridiculous car mods in our time here at HotCars, but one thing we haven’t seen is a mod that adds any utility to the car. Something that actually makes driving the car more enjoyable, more convenient, and just all-around better than any other car because of its unique, customized features.

Now it seems we’ve finally got our first truly usable car mod. This guy decided to unhook his washer fluid reservoir from his wipers, redirect the line so that it squirted into his cabin, and then hooked up a mount so that it squirts juice right into his mouth on a hot day.

Courtesy of Daniel Tillotson in a segment he calls Daniel’s Vegan Car Mods comes this easy-to-do hack that will change your driving days forever.

The mod is deceptively simple. First, and most importantly, remove all window wiper fluid from your reservoir. This is extremely important as wiper fluid is incredibly toxic and will kill you. Daniel flushed his out with hot water several times, and as you’ll find out later, it still wasn’t quite enough. We hope he lives.

Next, disconnect the wiper fluid line from the wipers. There should be a little plastic doodad to help here, but if not, you can just cut it with some scissors. After that, redirect the line into the cabin through the door. You might need to attack some additional plastic tubing to get it to go that far.

Finally, mount the end of the line to the inside of the windshield with a suction cup mount and then fill the reservoir with your juice of choice. Daniel chose kombucha, but you can choose whatever you want.

Now instead of deadly wiper fluid, pulling back on your wiper switch will fill your mouth with delicious juice. Delightful.

There are a few problems with this setup, the first of which being the horrendous mess. Unfortunately, the pressure doesn’t immediately shut off so while the initial blase of juice hits its target, it sort of dribbles out after you release the switch.

Second, Daniel noted that even with repeated rinses, there was still enough reside on the inside of the reservoir tank that the juice wound up tasting like soap. It might be best to entirely replace the reservoir tank when performing this mod.

Lastly, your car no longer has any means of removing detritus from the windshield, which can be detrimental to your vision.

Daniel’s car is also for sale, in case you’re in the market.
