Ian Fleming's most popular literary, and film, character, British superspy James Bond, has graced the big screen since 1962 with the release of Dr. No starring Sean Connery. Since then the torch has been passed to several other Bond's including Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, and the current Bond, Daniel Craig. 007 has been characterized by a refined yet flamboyant air donning custom tailored suits, exquisite cuisine, and an impeccable taste in women, and automobiles. Indeed, it could be argued that Bond's cars deserve equal billing on the playbill. Let's take a look at some of Daniel Craig's most famous Bond rides.

The History

Since Bond was British it makes sense that his favorite car was the king of sports luxury tourers of the time, the Aston Martin. It continues to be his go to vehicle with the manufacturer designing and building bespoke creations for use in the films. One of the first Aston Martin's to be used in Bond films, that continually pops up, is the Aston Martin DB5. Pictured above in silver with Connery and Craig leaning on the front fender, it was the ultimate ride for the well dressed spy. With a straight-6 engine, 4 -speed manual transmission, and excellent road manners, it had the looks and power to take on Goldfinger with aplomb.

In Craig's first installment with Casino Royale he made an appearance in the AM DBS also finished in silver. He can be seen in a vintage Jaguar XJ8 at the end of the film as well. Next up in Quantum of Solace he appears in more pedestrian rides such as a Ford Edge and VW Beetle. Yikes, what would the Queen think?!
