Hip Hop music has transcended from the nitty-gritty streets of New York during the early eighties to become a mainstream form of entertainment that is worth billions of dollars. With this increase in popularity, there are many entertainers and moguls who have helped to shape the entire industry, and one of these men is Suge Knight. The man went from a bodyguard to operating one of the largest hip hop empires in history and shaped the face of hip hop music as we see it today. He is partly responsible for the success of Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, and many other well-known rappers that have come out of the West Coast.
Suge Knight was known as an intimidating figure in the music business, but the man also had an eclectic taste in vehicles that matched his outgoing personality. This one of a kind taste in cars made Suge Knight the owner of some pretty cool rides, and he passed this love for vehicles onto his friend and protege Tupac Shakur, who also added many of the same vehicles to his own collection.
Looking back on Suge Knight's rise and fall there were quite a few cars that really stood out from the crowd, and it's interesting to note that Suge Knight was also personal friends with Mike Tyson, who also had quite the impressive car collection at the time as well. When it comes to west coast hip hop culture, the Chevrolet Impala is probably one of the most recognizable in the industry. The red 1964 Chevrolet Impala that was owned by Suge Knight was a pristine example of what a California rap mogul should drive, and this was just one of the many custom cars that Suge added to his collection.
This vehicle was also featured in various magazines during the nineties and was one of the main vehicles that Suge would be seen driving around L.A. in at the time.

Suge rolled in a powerful circle of people, some of which included Mike Tyson at the time. So, it's only natural that the man needed some expensive luxury vehicles to off-set his street reputation as well.

Famously featured in the movie Straight Outta Compton, the 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air is a prime example of the domestic family sedan at its finest. Suge Knight was the owner of an all original red model that featured the usual California touches, and this made his collection really shine.

There is no doubt that one of the most famous cars in the world is Suge Knight's 1996 BMW 7 Series, a car that is synonymous with the Tupac Shakur tragedy. The car which was also featured on the hit TV show Pawn Stars is currently for sale for around $1 million, and this was one of the most luxurious large sedans at the time when it was new as well.
Plus, the rims that were on the car were custom designed for Suge Knight which is why you probably have never seen another pair like them.
20 1996 Hummer H1 (Suge Knight)
The nineties were a prosperous time for Suge Knight and his entire organization, and with the money flowing in, the rap mogul was buying cars left and right. Suge Knight was notoriously one of the first owners of the Hummer H1 when it hit the mainstream, and this was partly the reason for the massive SUV increase in popularity.

Featured in the California Love music video with Dr. Dre, the Hummer H1 Eliminator is a special edition vehicle that had a number of add-ons which gave the vehicle that intimidating look.
Tupac Shakur was one of the original owners in addition to Suge Knight, although Tupac's vehicle was much more of a special order with a blacked out design that was complete with bright off-road lighting and huge tires. 2 1996 BMW 750iL (Tupac)
Similar to the model that Suge Knight was driving which became a cultural phenomenon, there was also a 1996 BMW 750iL that was owned by Tupac Shakur. Like many of the cars that were in Tupac's collection, Suge Knight influenced the purchase of many of these models - mainly because he considered the two men to be brothers.
The 1996 BMW 750iL was a fine piece of automotive engineering, and there was also an even larger model which came with the notorious V12 engine, and this is one of the highly sought after used models.
1 Lexus SC400 (Tupac)
Perhaps one of the most well-known cars of the decade, the Lexus SC400 was featured in countless rap videos at the time and became sort of a cult classic in terms of a luxury car.
The SC400 even in the used aftermarket still enjoys huge success with a younger crowd who purchase these V8 powered two-door rides and dress them up with custom paint jobs and rims. This car is remarkably popular because of its extremely reliable engine, and Tupac was known to have owned one of the earliest models.
