When it comes to races, power isn't the only thing that matters. Factors like vehicle weight, driver's reaction time and driving skills, as well as other real world conditions should be taken into account. The recent drag race between Mat Watson of carwow and Yianni Charalambous of Yiannimize demonstrated that, with the special participation of an Audi RS6 and a Lamborghini Urus .

Power Versus Weight Versus Other

This is a very interesting drag race. One is more powerful but the other is lighter. Likewise, one of the drivers is known for his reaction time on the pedal. But what's more interesting is the fact that both the Lamborghini Urus and Audi RS6 are powered by the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, but tuned to different numbers.

Shown prior to its celery green wrap, Yianni's Urus is more powerful than the RS6, with a power rating of 641 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. The Audi, meanwhile, is less potent at 591 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. But the vehicle with four rings is lighter than the bull, with weights of 4,574 lb. (2,075 kg) and 4,847 lb. (2,199 kg), respectively.

The £94,500 ($129,000) RS6 was brought to the strip by Mat. Actually, he brings it everywhere since it's one of his daily drivers. That's quite a potent car for a daily driver, but for a guy like Mat, there is nothing wrong with that, and the car is otherwise quite practical.

On the other hand, Yianni's Urus is pretty powerful for an SUV, or any means of ground transportation, for that matter. Setting these aside, it’s also a useful vehicle but is quite expensive at more than $200,000. Yianni is pretty confident his Urus would beat Mat's RS6 on the strip.

Both vehicles are quite new – it just been around two months since Yianni and Mat picked them up. Interestingly, Mat bought his Suzuki Jimny on the same day Yianni picked his Lambo up. Moreover, Mat acquired his RS6 at the same day Yianni's Porsche Taycan was delivered.  These guys seem to purchase cars like the rest of us buy cheeseburgers.

Is this mystic synchronized timing the reason why both vehicles finished the quarter mile at the same time at 11.7 seconds? Mat's RS6 did beat Yianni's Urus in the rolling race and braking contest.
