It seems like in Hollywood, a Lamborghini or a Ferrari is just a regular car and just because it costs millions of dollars doesn’t make it rare.

Many of the celebrities mentioned on this list are avid car collectors, most of which have invested millions in their personal collections. Jay Leno, who is mentioned on this list has his own show where he showcases some of the rarest cars he has in his collection. Leno also invites other car enthusiasts to his show as an opportunity to show off their prized possessions. According to Money Magazine, Leno says he owns about 181 cars and 160 motorcycles - he says he has never sold any of his cars but he has donated a few to charity.

According to Forbes, Jerry Seinfeld is known for his extensive collection of Porsche models that he keeps stored underground in a garage in Manhattan. He has a full-time mechanic who maintains his prized possessions.

19 Nicolas Cage – 1963 Jaguar E-Type

It’s not hard to believe that Nicolas Cage is actually a car enthusiast and performed a lot of his own driving stunts in the movie “Gone In 60 Seconds.” Cage, of course, has an extensive collection of his own vehicles to whip around in, and one of the rarest was his 1963 Jaguar E-type Semi Lightweight Competition car.

According to Complex, only 12 true Lightweight Competitions were ever made, and even this isn’t an original. Cage did have the Jaguar completely restored back in 2009 with the best-upgraded parts his money could buy, including a 3.8-liter engine that's capable of hitting 325 hp.

18 Jay Leno – GM Eco Jet

Jay Leno has one of the most impressive car collections in the world, but one of the most unique cars that he has in his collection is one that he actually designed himself. According to Popular Mechanics, Leno’s inspiration to build the EcoJet was the original turbine car built by Chrysler in 1963, another rare car that he has in his collection.

The EcoJet makes 650 hp and 583 lb/ft of torque and is geared to go over 200 mph. In addition to being fast, the ride is animal-friendly with all of the EcoJet’s interior being derived from a man-made suede.

17 Ralph Lauren – 1950 Jaguar XK120

Ralph Lauren, like many of the other members on this list, has an extensive car collection worth millions of dollars, but his 1950 Jaguar XK120 is something special.

According to Road and Track, the 120 in the Jag name stood for the car’s ability to reach a top speed of 120 mph, due to its 3.4-liter engine. The XK120 actually reached a top speed of 126 mph, which made it the fastest sports car in the world back in 1950.

The XK120 that you can find in Ralph Lauren’s car collection is the actual car that raced in both the Mille Miglia and Targa Florio - both being famous endurance races.

16 Jerry Seinfeld - 1955 Porsche 550 RS

Jerry Seinfeld is known for having a thing for Porsche, in fact, according to Complex he owned 47 of them at one point in addition to many other cars. One of the rarest in Seinfeld’s collection was a 1955 Porsche 550 RS, one of only 70 that were made. This is the same car which is famously known for being what James Dean was driving during his crash.

Seinfeld recently sold this car, along with 17 others at the famous Amelia Island auction. According to Forbes, the 550 RS was the top seller on the day.

Giorgetto Giugiaro is a famous car designer that is responsible for designing some of the most iconic cars. For example, the Lotus Espirit, BMW M1, and the Maserati Ghibli were just a few that Giugiaro helped design.

As a special gift to him, Ferrari gave him an unlimited budget to design his own custom car. According to Classic Driver, Giugiaro’s custom Ferrari GG50 is the only one in the world, designed by the master himself. The name stands for his initials, and the number 50 marks the years he was celebrating with Ferrari. Talk about an amazing gift!

Rapper Birdman announced on Twitter that he had bought the concept, but according to Top Gear, there was no proof he actually purchased the car. Like a few others on this list, the Maybach Exelero is a one-off as only a concept was made, and it was never officially put into production.

According to Top Gear, the Excelero was not just about luxury, it was also a finely tuned race car that could churn out 691 hp and 737 lb/ft of torque. The Exelero was capable of reaching a top speed of 217 mph!

Eric Clapton is the proud owner of a custom Ferrari that he can say he designed himself. Clapton’s custom Ferrari is called the 458 SP12 EC, the EC standing for his initials. According to Road and Track, back in 2012, Clapton had the honor of designing his own Ferrari to celebrate the influence he has on the music industry and the fact that he’s a huge fan of Ferraris, of course. The car was designed to look like a more retro-styled Ferrari. Clapton’s one-off Ferrari cost almost five million dollars to build but is said to be worth even more today.

But believe it or not, Dempsey is also known in the racing world as well, and even owns his own team; Dempsey Racing. According to Motor Trend, Dempsey has an extensive collection of cars in his personal collection for both business and pleasure, one of the rarest being a 1972 Jaguar E-Type. Jaguar was clearly way ahead of their time, considering back in the 70s they were already stuffing V12 engines under the hoods of their cars.

10 Nick Mason – Bugatti Type 35

Nick Mason was the drummer for the band Pink Floyd. According to Top Gear, he was yet another member on this list to own a McLaren F1, along with many other impressive cars. The Bugatti Type 35 is just one of many classics that are in Mason’s collection, as he doesn’t seem to be biased towards one brand, but he describes the Bugatti as priceless.

According to Road and Track, it was one of the first classics he purchased, although it was technically in pieces when he did. Now that it's together, Mason says it can corner faster than a Porsche GT3!

9 Tim Allen - 1933 Ford Roadster

Tim Allen is a huge gearhead that has also been featured on Jay Leno’s Garage. But before all of this Tim Allen starred on a show of his own, called “Home Improvement” which coincidentally, he played a gearhead. According to GQ, in the show, Allen is often shown working on a 1933 Ford Roadster in his garage that was actually part of his personal collection. Allen explains that it was actually a lot more work as they had to first build the car, and then rebuild it on the show. Under the hood, you can find a custom 350 that Allen had built for the Roadster.

Quite a few members on this list are actually F1 owners, but Rowan Atkinson, who is better known as Mr. Bean, deserves his spot on this list for a few reasons. According to Road and Track, Atkinson’s F1 was burgundy, one of the rarest colors that the F1 was made in. Atinkson crashed his F1, causing $1.3 million worth of damage, and this was actually the second time it was crashed. But at the end of the day, it was still worth it, as it was sold for $12.2 million, with 41k miles on it. That's insane considering he purchased the car for $750,000!

7 Steven Tyler – Hennessey Venom GT

Hennessey Performance is known for taking already fast cars and making them even faster, but they have even designed a few cars of their own. Steven Tyler, the lead singer of the rock band Aerosmith was fortunate enough to score the very first Venom GT Spyder for his collection. According to Motor Authority, the Venom GT’s twin-turbocharged 7.0-liter V8 can make 1200 hp and 1155 lb/ft of torque, making it capable of getting to sixty in 2.7 seconds. Tyler recently sold the Venom GT at Barrett-Jackson for 800K, all of which he donated to his charity Janie’s Fund.

6 Wyclef Jean – Pagani Zonda C12

Wyclef Jean has been making good music for decades now, so it’s no surprise that he can afford some of the most exclusive supercars in the world. Jean, like a few others on this list, also once owned a McLaren F1. According to Complex, one of the rarest cars in his collection is the Pagani Zonda C12. According to Car Throttle, all Pagani cars are made in super limited batches, and there were only five C12’s made in total, in which only three were sold.

The C12 models were rare, but they weren’t that fast. The massive 6.0-liter V12 engine was only good for 444bhp.

5 Ludacris – Chrysler ME 4-12

Ludacris makes a few appearances in the Fast and The Furious movies so it’s no surprise that in real life he is an actual car enthusiast. The Chrysler ME 4-12 was actually never a production vehicle, and rapper Ludacris was just lucky enough to have a budget big enough to purchase one. According to Motor1, the ME 4-12 was a super lightweight car that was powered by a V12 with four-turbochargers which could make both 850 hp and 850 lb/ft of torque. One of the rarer cars that you can find in Chris Brown's car collection is a Rezani Beast. According to Motor1, the Razani Beast is modestly priced for a hand-built supercar, costing around $165,000, which really makes us wonder why we don’t see more of them. Not only are they almost completely made out of carbon fiber, but they’re also fast and capable of getting to sixty in just 2.7 seconds

3 Joe Rogan - 1965 Chevy Corvette

Up next is another car enthusiast that was lucky enough to be invited to make a guest appearance on “Jay Leno’s Garage.” Joe Rogan, who was the host for hit show Fear Factor, brought along his completely restored 1965 Chevy Corvette. This is one of many classic cars in his collection, but this Corvette is far from the original. According to Motor Authority, Rogan’s Corvette suspension has been completely upgraded and a supercharged LS1 has been crammed under the hood, now classifying it as a RestoMod.

2 David Spade - 1969 Charger Daytona

David Spade starred in the movie “Joe Dirt," playing a funny redneck with a mullet. In the movie, Joe Dirt drives a 1969 Charger Daytona, which was most likely his inspiration to buy his own. According to Fox News, Spade’s Daytona cost him 900K! Only 503 were built that year, and Spade’s is even rarer as they said only 20 were made with both a 426 Hemi and the manual transmission. Spade’s Daytona has been completely restored and had just 6,435 miles on the original engine. Even Spade admitted it was too nice to drive and wasn’t sure if he actually would.

1 Herbie Hancock - 1963 AC Shelby Cobra

Herbie Hancock told the story about how he wound up with his 1963 AC Shelby Cobra when he was invited on “Jay Leno’s Garage.” According to CNBC, Hancock purchased his 1963 AC Shelby Cobra for just $6,000 back in 1963. He admits he wasn’t planning on buying a Cobra that day, but after a car salesman was so rude to him, he bought it on the spot. Herbie thanks that awful salesman for his purchase. His cobra is estimated to now be worth over 2 million dollars, as it is the only known Cobra that came equipped with a two-barrel carburetor.
