Overland Expo had no doubts while they chose the 2021 Honda Africa Twin to outfit with efficient accessories with different brand collaborations. The inspiration came when Overland Expo noticed an increase in keen motorcyclists who wanted to take overland journeys across the country. As competition grew in the market to create durable and sustainable moto accessories, riders took the adventure of using them for their bikes. However, not all bikes provided the safety and ergonomics needed for long and comfortable journeys.

The first bike chosen was the 2021 Honda Africa, as it already comes equipped with the best engine and gear. Whether dual-clutch gearbox or manual transmission is selected, the bike is the ultimate answer as the descendent of the Dakar winner. The 2021 Africa Twin is priced upwards of $17,119 and is a well-sorted machine for the adventure.

The 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT gets its name from the experience of winning the Paris-Dakar races four consecutive times on the most grueling desert rally. It is modified with new features and retains the spirit of the Dakar-winning machine. The bike is equipped with a 24.5-liter fuel tank with a dual-clutch and manual clutch transmission that provides a 1082.96 cc displacement.

Africa Twin’s parallel-twin engine is capable of a safe ride on all terrains. The electronically controlled suspension has five settings to tune the ride better. The bike has an ergonomic build with height-adjustable seats and screen, an aluminum skid plate, and heated grips for a carefree ride.

For Overland Expo, the Africa Twin came in the new 2021 color scheme of Darkness Black Metallic with a collaboration of the best parts in the market. The Expo aimed at ensuring the bike was built for long-distance travel and crash protection. The bike will be set to travel on multi-day treks and remote terrains to explore the lesser-known roads. This exceptional bike was only created in collaboration with some of the most potent gears in the world.

What you see here is the final showpiece custom-built Africa Twin. Overland Expo collaborated with several big names to create the Ultimate Overland Motorcycle using only the best to create a bike as strong as the brand. The chosen brands have years of experience under their belt to provide the optimum materials. The bike features Outback Motortrek, known to produce protection gears for adventure bikes, and provided the engine guards, a set of crash bars, and skid breaks to protect the rider from a fall on uneasy terrains. Jesse Luggage loaned its system to maintain the safety of the gear. Denali Electronics’ lightning kit has front and rear turn lights, rear running brake lights, and forward-facing auxiliary lights.

The durable tank bag and soft bag from Wolfman Luggage increase the luggage capacity during the ride. The strapping Heidenau tires offer a long-lasting experience on and off the road. For navigation and communication, Overland Expo collaborated with Garmin for the Zumo XT and inReach Mini. The serious situations in challenging terrains can be recovered using the LT2000 Compact from Superwinch. Lastly, the most important part of comfort riding is completed with customized Kontour seats.

The 2021 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES DCT Overland Build and the Toyota 4Runner TRD Off-Road are set to be unveiled at the 2021 Overland Expo Events in Arizona and Virginia between September 24 to 26.
