For over 110 years, Bugatti has been building some of the most incredible cars the world has ever seen. To this day, they are number 1 in almost everything imaginable. They have the first, and currently only, production car to reach 300 miles per hour, they’ve crafted one of the most beautiful cars ever built: the Type 57SC Atlantic valued at around $40 million, and they even have the most successful race car of all time: the Type 35, with over 1000 race victories, averaging over 1 race win every day.

The point is, Bugatti is the absolute pinnacle of success, and owning any of their models, even their cheapest modern cars, the Veyron, and Chiron, basically means you’ve made it. This kind of legacy and reputation is what makes YouTuber TheStradman’s recent purchase of a Bugatti Veyron so much crazier.

However, the amazing things that come with owning a car holding the iconic EB badging and horseshoe grill aren’t even the wildest things about his Veyron.

A Weak Bugatti?

The first quirk on his Veyron isn’t something wrong or strange with the hypercar, but more the state he lives in, along with the car's 1001 horsepower engine. The Bugatti Veyron, with its wild 8.0 liter W16 engine, only takes 93 high octane fuel. In many states, this wouldn’t mean much, as gas stations generally have this type of fuel. In Utah, the best you can get is 91. With this lower number, along with TheStradman living in that state, he had to detune his car, meaning that it's no longer a hypercar with 1001 horsepower, but a hypercar with about 800 horsepower.

In no way should this make you think that it is a slow car though. It still has more power than high-performance vehicles like the McLaren 765LT and Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, two supercars often regarded as hypercars. And it's a Bugatti. Being slightly slower isn’t going to keep it from dominating almost any competition and turning heads everywhere it goes.

Another thing to notice about this particular Bugatti Veyron is its color, not because it’s some special edition that no other Bugatti has, but because the current exterior of this car isn’t even a paint job. This Veyron’s real color hasn’t been revealed yet, as for now, it’s hidden by a high-quality two-tone black and white wrap.

Cheap For A Bugatti

The modification to this car doesn’t stop there. The elusive “$25,000 for service” wheels that the Veyron has aren’t actually on this car. It currently has custom wheels, which, while costing a lot, aren’t anywhere near the price of Bugatti wheels. These also mean that the car wouldn’t be able to reach its top speed, whether or not it was detuned. The original Veyron’s wheels are specially built to handle its top speeds, so any set from a company that just builds wheels to look cool wouldn’t be safe for speeds the Veyron reaches.

Despite how you feel about these quirks of TheStradman’s new Bugatti Veyron, there’s no denying that it is an awesome car and an incredible addition to his fleet. Whether it is slightly slower than the average Veyron or has custom wheels and a wrap, this is still the top of the top and an amazing automobile.
