Ridiculous Power For These 'Street' Machines

The two cars featured in the video are a 1000 hp Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X with sequential transmission and a 1100 hp Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX with stock transmission. It is really hard to say which is more badass out of the two.

The Evo X has a 2.0-Liter inline-four engine with an aluminum rod, billet crank and CNC ported head mated to a six-speed sequential transmission. Magnus completed the majority of the modifications, and there's a significant amount of custom work involved. It also features an upgrade Super 99 turbo with a T3 frame. The owner states that the car has been pretty reliable so far, having only had trouble with some of the diffs, but let's be honest, at this level of power which car wouldn't? Furthermore, the car features a Magnus dry sump, custom wiring, custom piping and custom brake lines. The car is currently set up in the 800 hp street tune running 35 psi, but it also has a 1000 hp tune which runs 50-55 psi, brutal to say the least.

The other car featured in the video is a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII, built around the 2.0-liter inline-four.

While this Evo is older than the first Evo, it is even more powerful than the first. The car makes around 1100 hp and is the quintessential streetcar; lots of power but still perfectly drivable on the road. The owner has upgraded the turbo to a Precision 76 mm Gen 2 turbo, that is currently pushing 47-50 psi. The engine has had a lot of aftermarket upgrades to be able to handle big power and features 2600 injectors.

Interestingly, the car does not have a roll cage and does not necessarily look like it makes 1100 hp. The owner admits that the car is smooth and relatively quiet, not exactly a sleeper, but more powerful than one would guess from looking at it.
