DMX was born on December 18, 1970, and he passed away on April 9th 2021. He was an American rapper, songwriter as well as actor. Earl began rapping in the early 1990s. DMX released his debut album It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot in 1998. This album sold 251,000 copies within its first week of release.

He went on to release his best selling album which was And Then There Was X back in 1999. This album included the hit single, Party Up (Up in Here). It turns out that DMX currently holds the record as a male artist for having his first 5 solo projects debuted at number 1 on billboards top 200.

The iconic rapper has also been featured in movies such as: Belly, Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Cradle 2 the Grave, and Last Hour. DMX also published a book of his memoirs. The book was entitled ‘E.A.R.L: The Autobiography of DMX’ and the book was published back in 2003.

A fun fact about the late rapper is that he studied the Bible. He would pray before and after every show that he performed.

DMX tragically passed away

Earl Simmons passed away on Friday the 9th of April 2021. It has been reported that he suffered a heart attack during what the media has reported was a drug overdose. DMX was 50 years old when he passed away.

His family reported:

“We are deeply saddened to announce today that our loved one, DMX, birth name of Earl Simmons, passed away at 50 years old at White Plains Hospital with his family by his side after being placed on life support for the past few days.”

It was announced that DMX collapsed at home and he was taken to a New York hospital. TMZ and Billboard both said that he overdosed on drugs which triggered a heart attack and ultimately, caused his death.

DMX once said in a documentary series that was broadcast on BET:

“He created a monster. Cocaine almost took my life on a few occasions.”

Our deepest condolences go out to Earl’s family and friends during this hard time.

About the 1964 Chevrolet Impala that used to be DMX’s Show car

The rappers Chevrolet looked like one of the sickest cars of all time! It is a two-door coupe, that has a stunning custom cherry Burgundy paint job. There is not much on this car that has not been customized.

The car has a 292 L6 engine that has been chromed of course. It is an automatic transmission car and is a rear-wheel-drive car. The interior of the car is tan in color.

Let’s take a look at some of the items of the car that has been customized to make this ride as unique as possible.

First and foremost, there is a custom sound system. It comes with mids and high subs which are located in the trunk of the car. 14" Gold Spoke Wheels as well as Chromed out engine with a show hood that opens backwards and has mirrors installed as well so that you can see the engine from all the angles.

One cannot forget about the hydraulic system that this car comes with. It is a lowrider car that DMX made sure looked as sick as possible. The hydraulics have chromed out pumps and is a 16 switch system.

This car has everything that you would need to ensure that you have one of the sickest cars on the road. It is an eye turner and let’s not forget about the fact that this 1964 Chev is not only a classic car but it was also featured in one of DMX’s music videos.
